Do you watch / sit through ending game credits?

Yeah I think the Deus Ex Human Revolution credits had developer profiles/pics throughout the entire process of development in chronological order as the credits rolled on. Thought that was pretty interesting...

Always, there might be a neat Easter-egg you could trigger.

The ending credits for The Lost and Damned are some of my favorites from this gen. Rockstar did a great job on those.

I always do, half out of respect and in anticipation of post-credits scenes and what not,

If the credits are boring and long and my latter anticipation isn't fulfilled, I want to destroy something after watching.

Nope, MGS is the reason why. Nothing worse then unsinkable credits for me. I usually go to the bathroom or browse the internet. They could do me a favor and add a credits option in the main menu after you beat the game.

Yes, I always make an effort to watch them all the way through. I do feel they give a great sense of closure and I like to read the names of who was involved giving everyone the recognition.

Never beat Rayman Origins then. Good GOD, longest credits I've ever had to sit through.

I sat through Diablo 3's. 90% of the people mentioned didn't even work on the game, and there were more accountants than developers. That explained a lot.

Yes, if I enjoyed the game. A lot of people worked very hard to being you the hours of gameplay you enjoyed, the least you can do is recognise that they exist, even if you don't know them personally. And you get an idea of what a massive undertaking a game can be - jobs you didn't even know existed scroll past your eyes.

I have this tradition, where, at the end of every Final Fantasy, I watch the credits and wait patiently for David "Ribs" Carillo to show up. He is my hero.

I love you David "Ribs" Carillo.

The only time I ever failed to wait for David "Ribs" Carillo's name to appear was at the end of FFXIII-2. I was super pissed about the game's ending and couldn't bear to think that David "Ribs" Carillo had actually assured me of its quality.

I always do since they might be a cut scene or special ending artwork after the credits or something even if its a "Oh you've beaten x mode, now challenge y mode" in a game if I've beaten it for the first time.

Oh and in some older games you'd get a code or password to unlock something, plus if its a good game its always nice to learn who made it, plus stuff like voice work.

Credits are boring. In my game, I and one of the lead actresses did a podcast-style voiceover on top of the credits.

In my next game, I'm inviting as many of the cast and crew as I can, getting them all drunk, and recording a video of everyone reacting to the credits as they scroll. I will then play this video in the background of the actual credits sequence in-game.

I'm serious.

I tend to sit through them most of the time, but God I hate it when they're 8 or 10 min+. How big do development teams get these days? It's annoying when there's like two hundred names, and they're brought out slowly, two by two or something.

Playable credits are cool, especially in platformers.

No, I don't know any of these people and it doesn't help me get to know them either. I don't get people who feel like they have to watch the credits for all the hard work people put in. I'd be surprised if people could remember more than 3 names after the credits are finished. Also games put their entire legal/marketing/localization teams into the credits, even when they had little to nothing to do with the game. I feel like the credits are just a giant circle jerk. Tell me the writers, the coders and the art team with pics, thats all that needs to be in there.

This is a FANTASTIC idea!!! Can't believe no mainstream title has done this yet.

only if the credits are unskippable..

just finished Resistance: Burning Skies, hit Exit 10 seconds into the credits...

Yes, if I've played through to the end of a game then presumably I enjoyed myself. It's just a matter of respect to watch the credits at that point.

Mostly just for games that I enjoy beating. Space Marine was a good example - after the white knuckle end fight, I put the controller down and let the credits wash all over me.

Good credit music helps too.

Always, because of possible post-credits scenes or even scenes playing during the credits, like in the AC series. Bayonettas interactive credits were nice as well.
