Come to the UK, we have decent mayo, then you'll see the appeal.

I hate mayo. I'll eat it if it's on food that I order, but I'll avoid it for the most part.

Yeah, try it. You may, or may not like it. I just felt there are brands out there that give mayo a bad name. I use Helmans and think it's great, but read a post here that says it's garbage or whatever. Damn, whatever that person is having must be the bomb.

We dutch people love mayo on our fries! Especially with peanutsauce.
Cheesesandwhich with mayo and ketchup is great. Tuna with mayo on a baguette in the oven sprinkled with cheese is divine.

It's alright. I have it on some things from time to time.

I prefer to do something with it though. Like simply mixing in garlic and black pepper to make aioli. Or barbecue sauce to make some bbq mayo. Or Sriracha to make chili mayo. A favorite of mine is mixing in piri piri and mango chutney. The possibilities are endless! It's better if you make the mayo from scratch but it's not necessary.
