It's awesome ! If it would be socially acceptable to mooch off from the good old gov. I would be unemployed 4life.

So far in my life I have hated every job I have ever had :lol Even the ones that I like at first I will eventually grow to hate. Working is generally waste of life (if you don't really love your job). I quit my job just few days back and I am unemployed at the moment and I will collect my union checks for month and then go travelling for a year :) If I'm lucky I will in lottery or some shit at some point of my life if not then I'm keep waisting it.

I actually love being unemployed. It's just with everyone else around me going to grad school and getting their PHDs, I feel like a lazy, unproductive piece of shit. It's hard being the bum amongst geniuses.

Me.

Best (most fun, relaxed, cheerful) company in the world (well in the sector anyway).

I'm a history teacher at a Community College...I love everything about my job except for the 10% of students who try to make my life miserable...it's ok though because about 20% of the students are great (the other 70% just don't care either way). I love the subject I teach, the money is not bad, and I get about 4 months a year off.

i work in a call center where the phone rings non stop =/

So do I. I work for a major health insurance company as a member services coordinator. It can be brutal at times. I hate my job.

Yes. Interesting projects, major job satisfaction, great progression opportunities, great perks, good pay, close to me also.

Web Developer/ Graphics Designer for a prestigious publishing company.

no, i hate it. i hate my boss, he's lazy, no one wants to take responsibility, the other departments dump on us, the rest don't follow our procedures to get things done and the others dont even know we exist. why couldn't life have turned out better career wise.

I think my job is alright, I custom frame things at an art store. I talk to one other person that works in the department, and very rarely deal with people.

I love my career, but it puts a lot of stress on me so sometimes it's a love-hate thing. In about 1.5 years though, I'll be out of training and on my own making the Big Bucks. Then I'm sure, it'll be a love thing. Well, mostly a love thing.

I hate my current job, but I loved my last job.

My last job basically involved me fixing PC's for Washington Mutual. I'd get tickets from my boss, schedule them out, do the work, and that was that. If I didn't feel like getting up early on a particular day? I'd just schedule them out later.

The big thing that made my job was my boss. who pretty much let me handle things my way. As long as I kept him up to date on my status via text messages, he didn't care, and had no desire to hound me, because he knew I'd get the work done, and he knew I did an excellent job. It didn't hurt that we were being paid per diem, so as long as I wasn't obviously slacking he pretty much encouraged me to take my time.

The employees I helped were incredibly grateful for my work. I was given attitude by a bank manager exactly once, and one call to my dispatcher fixed that up pronto.

Fast forward to my current job. I work a helpdesk job and I'm micro-managed to death. We have a "helpdesk manager" whose job involves two things, reviewing tickets and hounding our asses to work faster. The people I help are impatient and give us attitude constantly, because they know they will get a discount if they bitch.

As if this wasn't bad enough, a former employee lodged a Department of Labor complaint toward our company. In response, the owners took it out on current employees. We lost our performance bonuses, and management started hounding us even more. I started getting told that my trips to the bathroom were taking too long. I wish I was kidding.

Thankfully, my former boss from the previous job has found a possible new gig for me. He's hoping to give me good news this week. I look forward to stuffing a two-week notice down the throat of my manager.

My job kinda sucks a lot of the time, to be honest, but the people I work with are great. That's enough for me at this stage.

I deliver pizza for Domino's to pay my bills. Not the greatest gig, but until I either start making more money from real estate or go back to college, I'm enjoying it well enough. I deliver in a pretty rich area so it's very safe, and half the time I get to just drive around and listen to music. It's good stuff.

Whats your full time job? (Assuming deliverying pizzas is a part time thing.

Here's the thing about jobs: even if you like what you generally do, there are often (unpredictable) things that get in the way, including shitty bosses, shitty coworkers, shitty hours, shitty pay, etc.

For example, you could talk to a ton of public-school teachers who love what they do but hate all the extra paperwork, accountability bullshit, and inability to discipline children with all their being.

I'm a film student so when i got my job working at the cinema box office i was delighted. Plus the people who work there are cool and we don't have to take shit from customers.

Shame there moving me to concessions this week.
