Does anyone else prefer a very flat pillow?

I've always slept on very flat pillows and can never get used to pillows that push my head up. Unfortunately I can never find flat pillows comfortable enough to sleep on. I'm guessing I might be in a minority here since most places seem to sell plush pillows. I've been sleeping on my current pillow forever (It's like a cheap joe boxer one lol) and want to get a new one.

I bought this pillow but it was still too thick.

Anyone else prefer a flat pillow or can give a recommendation?

Absolutely. I hate pillows that make me crane my neck. It needs to be flat or loose enough to recede under the weight of my head.

I've also never liked an over abundance of pillows. I just need one. Any more than that is overwhelming.

Yes thin pillow for lyfe!

I developed bad back/neck pain from sleeping on two pillows, switched to one pillow and now the pain is gone.

I got the bamboo memory foam pillow a few years ago and it's definitely the best pillow I've ever had.

I like hard, thin pillows that won't smother me while I sleep.

I see you are part of the ultrawide pillow masterrace. Regular pillows aren't wide enough and if you have two, well that won't do at all, you're left with a gap in the middle.

You people are all doing it wrong. You aren't supposed to sleep on the middle of the pillow. You should be sleeping between two pillows. Then you can use both edges to overlap and get your preferred adjustable height

For sleeping? Absolutely. Give me a single flat pillow and I'm all set. Doesn't really need to be soft. Just something between my head and my hand.

I've fallen in love with memory foam pillows. It can be whatever shape I need it be at the time.

But I grew up with flat pillows because I was poor and all of our pillows were flat, beaten-down globs of material. So sometimes I shape my pillows into reasonable facsimiles of such.

I think it's more of an issue that you can't relax your neck muscles rather than a comfortable bag of feathers/polyfoam

I travel with my flat pillow if I can, otherwise I end up stuffing a hotel towel into a pillowcase to create a shitty flat pillow. I can't stand fluffy hotel pillows.

Yup, this is why I hate sleepovers or hotels. I really can't sleep at every pillow. It needs to be flat and a bit hard. If it's too fluffy I really can't sleep at it.

Yes. It's funny b/c my fiance prefers the exact opposite. So at my place the pillows on my side are as flat as can be, but on her side they are huge. At her place she must keep a thousand pillows on the bed so I just use the flattest one.

I used to only be able to sleep on an incredibly flat pillow but for the past 4 months or so I have only been able to sleep on a thick as hell memory foam pillow. Oh and what I can't sleep without though is a pillow that I cuddle/hold, I don't know why but I feel so awkward without this pillow if I'm sleeping alone.

I use a memory foam pillow and a down pillow, depending on the night. Sometimes the down is all I need but sometimes I need something a lot firmer.
