Does Crash N. Sane's controls feel off to you?

I'm extremely insecure with how much f2p mobile games are encroaching on Nintendo
Maybe its just me but it feels like theres a small bit of input lag on these games..I don't remember this in the originals. I find myself dying senseless deaths where I pressed the button to jump/slide/spin etc and either get hit or fall to my death or something.

Does anyone else feel the same?
 
30 fps input lag + TV input lag...

Try to know what is your input lag , mine have 34 and this is not enough playable for me , i play crash on my PC monitor with only 10 ms and this is far better and playable ...
 
The first game? You will get used to it after several dozen death.

tbh,i never saw the input lag,maybe because i am playing on PC monitor with 4 ms input lag?

Im feeling it in Cortex Strikes Back too though. Havent tried Warped yet

Same. My 4kHDR TV has 35ms input lag (which is pretty good actually for what it offers) and my 1080p PC Monitor is at 11ms input lag.

But I will say that I wish they let you adjust the analog stick dead zone. There seems too much of it right now.

ehh, just so you know. It's highly unlikely your display has 4ms input lag. What you're referencing is most likely pixel response times.
 
They feel off because the gravity has been increased, the camera has been subtly lowered so you can see more of the level(this is messing with you judging how far you need to jump), and crash has been more made fluid overall compared to the instant jerkiness from the PS1 days.
 
It will never feel as tight as the old games since LCD's are gonna be more laggyy then a PS1 hooked up to a CRT that the games where originally designed around.


60fps could have helped add some of that tightness back into it. A shame.
 
Wasn't there some sort of lag in The og crash? Which is what made it so hard? 3 also had some iffy jumping mechanics; 2 was the only one that felt "right" to me throughout the years. I figured the remaster team just kept it all the same.

Oh right,the response time,but how i know the input lag?

edit:I've checked the input lag from database,my monitor has 4ms G2G response time,and 13 ms lag.

This makes me wonder, is there a difference playing PS4 games in PSVR?
Because technically, it has a refresh rate of 120hz.
 
It was a little weird to play the original and Crash 2 with the analog stick at first since they were made with the D-Pad in mind, but I've gotten used to it since and is my preferred method of play now.

I did feel it being less handy than the D-Pad though, but now I don't notice a difference.

Ah, the gravity increase explains why the jumping felt off.
 
I have no issues with the controls but the 30 FPS is annoying. I imagine the latter is what causes the controls to feel odd for some.
 
Not at all for me.

Now, when I played Amplitude last year, omg the lag was atrocious. I never was able to get it to play great, just good. =(

Crash has been 30fps, so I doubt that.
 
Nope, it actually feels spot on to the game on ps1 played on a CRT. Crash deciding not to jump and just walk off into a pit is a part of it all, VV truly replicated the games.
 
The controls feel off in Crash 1 compared to the original; haven't touched the others yet. There's several jumps I've missed that I'm sure I've would have made in the original. While I enjoy playing it, there's a disconcerting mix of wonky controls and poor collision detection that makes the game much more frustrating than it needs to be.
 
The controls for the jetpack and ice physics in crash 2 are garbage thats for sure.

Not to mention theres obvious collision issues such as jumping on the natives with shields.
