DICE decided to drop a server browser in favour of a new matchmaking system.
SOURCE
In my experience so far (44 matches, KD ratio of 0.75, win ratio: 36%): Matchmaking is terrible. In nearly every game there seem to be one-three players who are dominating the rest. Most of the time its not even close. And I am not talking about dominating me, they're dominating everybody else too.
And before people start to post:
Obviously itll be good for the more experienced shooter players out there.
Also please do not start with obvious git good comments (or similar stuff). If you get better, youll have a much better time that's obvious but not the question I am asking. This thread is about matchmaking experience and if it is reasonable for inexperienced players to pick it up.
Fegraeus: The nature of the matchmaker that we have is to just ensure that people have a fair and even playground. That's the thing. We want all Star Wars fans to be able to play this game and have a good time, and in doing that, we want to make sure that whenever players jump in, they get matchmade to players of their own level, their own skill, so they can have fun and a fair playing field. That's a really important thing when it comes to the quality of experience for the wide audience of Star Wars fans out there.

for people who do not want to read said:Can shooter inexperienced players pick this up and have fair and well balanced games against other players, or are n00bs still doomed and just play cannon fodder for better ones?
small and obvious Q&A: said:And why did you buy a multiplayer shooter in the first place?
1.)Well, I believed in their PR about matchmaking and bought the game because of their promise I wouldnt have to play against much better players.
2.)I love the setting and the graphics are very impressive.
Did you think about that maybe it's just you?
Yes, that is why I am asking about other peoples experience.
You're just really, really bad!
That's not a question. And yes.
