Domino promo shot (Deadpool 2)

I don't like that other Photoshop. Found this one on Twitter, and like it a lot more. Until I saw this, I didn't think a white skinned version (as in color white, not race white) would work.

Aesthetically, I like it a lot. I don't know if I like it more than the other, but both would work out well, IMO. Both give out different feels.

I don't think they would actually ever do it, and for good reason, too. Context behind painting a POC's skin white, is too much. It can't really be ignored.

Damn. The eye looks soooo much better.

Makes sense for Deadpool franchise since they actually got the costumes/designs right in the first movie. This is a step backwards into the Singer X-Men "costumes".

Makes no sense. It's already established there are different timelines/universes. Should make no difference, especially since he's allegedly gonna meet up with Singers crew sometime in the future.

Other than Deadpools costume which costumes were accurate?

Teenage warhead?...Please.
Colossus looked like a man wearing an unpainted muscle suit
Ajax and whoever the fuck his girl was supposed to be were generic throwaway villains.
And copycat was no copycat..

Even Al wasnt the same character.

mmmm Still don't feel it.

I guess it's because I'm not a fan of half steps. I guess I rather have something comic accurate or very different to be its own thing with subtle connections. I like comics Domino but I am likening to Zazie's take here too.

I wonder if it's because of the positive reaction to Negasonic that they wanted to try it again. If the running joke here is Deadpool is super accurate but every other obscure mutant is widely different, I think I'm along for that ride.

Domino's character design has always been basic as hell. Even if she was ashy as fuck she would still look like she came out the old movies.

Sounds like Colossus to me

Y'all gotta chill with this ashy photoshop mess. For those who want to whiten her up: It's not happening.

Shoutouts to Zazie, she looks great in the role. I can't wait to see how it plays out in D2. Sorry that you're apparently not white enough.

Here is another look at her. It looks like the mark on her eye is supposed to be a birthmark??

Oh, I like that. I couldn't tell from the first picture, but it's more striking head on.

I'm hoping for some really unique fights from her.

I fully expect that most of (rational) folks being negative right now will be much less so when they actually watch her in the film. It just won't matter.

I mean they changed everyone except Deadpool really.

Colossus looked like he'd walked straight off the comic book page.
Of all people to complain about, you include him?

His X-Men designs for the films were crap, Deadpool had the first good one.

Thats a very attractive lady with rad hair but a terrible translation of the comic characters design to live action, and a dull and forgettable costume on its own merits.

Saying that, as long as she's a good character I'm not too bothered. As good a precedent as the first movie set, you can't expect Marvel Studios level of competency with superhero movies from anyone but Marvel Stufios themselves, so as long as it's not shit I'll be satisfied, and can certainly let dodgy visual choices slide.

So what is with all this concern over how Domino looks then lmao

This is Negasonic in the comics.

Negasonic literally isn't the same character though, all they wanted was the name. Originally it was Cannonball, hence why she has the different powers. She was basically an original character in Deadpool but with the name of a minor character from the comics solely because the writers liked the name (hey, they traded Ego for it).
