Domino promo shot (Deadpool 2)

I would love if Domino straight up had Vitiligo in the movie(complete with some less symmetrical markings elsewhere on the body). I have family that have it, and trust me, dealing with it day-in and day-out is fucking badass.

And what a shoutout to people dealing with it, to have a character in a blockbuster have it.

Yeah, I feel you.

This costume doesn't suck. The look doesn't suck. The hair doesn't suck. it's going to be a non-issue the second the first frame of her flashes your eyeball in teh theater.

(At least it doesn't suck any worse than the endless variations on lazily designed bullshit that the comics been coughing up for decades now.)

The idea Domino's visual design needs to be adhered to beyond the spot over her eye is baffling to me anyway.

But that's superheroes. I get it. Sometimes it's just a thing that tweaks your nerves and you can't get over it.

So in closing:

FUUUUUCK Tony Stark.

People have different opinions, to some this matters, to others it doesnt, neither opinion is more correct.

But, is it really that strange that people might want characters they know from comics, to look like their comic counterpart once they appear in a comic book movie?

Yup ! It would be awesome
A black person with white vitiligo is an awesome way to adapt the character

and on Deadpol 37 she can be all white with a black spot on her other eye =P

And Cannonball is a blonde haired dude in the comics who Nega in the movies still doesn't resemble at all.

I didn't say she was a female Cannonball, I just said it was Cannonball originally, but they switched him out. That's why she has his powers instead of the ones Negasonic had in the comics. Like I said, she's basically just an original character with the name of an unrelated comic character and the powers of another.

Well then...

And do you normally find that this is an effective approach on matters that are 100% subjective?

Do you honestly believe I don't know the difference between objective fact and subjective opinion ya sensitive li'l dingus?

Keep reading! The answers reveal themselves as the story continues!

Ok. All straight. You came across like you were the only one with right opinions.

Well, that does happen quite frequently though.

Eh, it'll be an issue for me because it always is.

For the record I would also be annoyed if Cable is rocking a man bun instead of a silvery crew cut.

It's kinda strange to pick out this character among all the not-so-accurate characters that have appeared in the X-Men movies, including the first Deadpool.

Based on your post I quoted originally, yes.

I can't speak for anyone else. But I just literally didn't know any of the other characters in Deadpool 1 beyond Deadpool and Colossus. I'm not super well versed in these characters yet. But I later learned what Negasonic looks and acts like in the comics, and yeah I also think the movie version has no place using that name (movie Negasonic is awesome, but there's no good reason to use that name for her)

I also thought that Apocalypse in the last X-men movie looked ridiculously bad. And while the outfits in the X-men movies are generally really bad, you can still tell who the characters are

Yea, that works. I figured they were just going to paint some girl white and give her some kind of mask-like thing around one eye.

Like I just don't understand why she doesn't have, and think she would look better with the black patch like domino does in the comic.

If we're going terrible hair.

Only thing worse than man bun are dreadlocks.

Afro is love though and so is this.

Here is another look at her. It looks like the mark on her eye is supposed to be a birthmark??

Really don't like the mark around her eye. Would look much better if it was black, like the comic. Otherwise, she's fine and fine. Fox has never given a shit about delivering literal translations of comic book characters for their movies. This is about as close as we could probably expect for a character not named Deadpool. I'm already prepared for Cable to look like a standard soldier in regular body armor and shit. Ultimately, what will matter is how the movie turns out. I just hope the first Deadpool wasn't a fluke.

She's still the same character with another power. In the deleted scenes it shows her telepathy.

What's the issue people are having with the eye? Looking at pictures, Domino looks to be white in the comics, with the black eye. Movie Domino is black with the white eye.

Seems like a simple play on the change to audience expectations, which is what Deadpool is.

He is on track, hopefully a reveal soon.

Because the way they did it contrasts better

It really doesn't though. It's not really noticeable at first glance. Her skin tone would work with it being a black spot, and it would match the costume really well.

Say what

Man bun and dreadlocks aren't even on the same planet

Because the way they did it contrasts better

I'm not so sure it does.

Colour-wise her skin tone is probably closer to 'paper white' (Domino's skin tone) than the opposite end of the spectrum. With a darker skin tone I could see a white circle contrasting better, but as is it seems like a black circle would be more striking.

That's unless they're representing her as having vitiligo.

Looks like Vitiligo to me.

if it were her eyebrow would be blond and her eye either blue or the same as her other.

Right? Not a vitiligo expert but that seems like it's how it works.

Vitiligo is related to skin pigmentation only I believe

edit - quick google search seems to indicate that hair can also lose it's color in the affected areas, doesn't seem like it always happens though

Some of yall can stay crying about accuracy to the comic look whatever. She looks amazing. Got me sweating

Strange choice making that mark look like vitiligo but it kinda works

I just don't see the problem with a racebent character that balances visual elements of the comic book character and design sensibilities of the film universe it's being adapted to. It's simply a slightly different take on the character.
