I really don't understand this. What were the possible scenarios according to you?

They way I see it the only other option was to price the PS4 at either $349 or $399 depending on MS's move. To think that if the Xbone had launched at $399, Sony would have priced themselves any higher is beyond ridiculous, they would have had to either match or go lower.
 
There's a part of me that wants to see just how far MS will take this. Almost to the point where I hope they don't change and recover just so I can see how much this will spiral into.

And he's referencing common practice at multi-billion dollar corporations. Jeff has been mistaken from his unnamed sources several times regarding E3 stuff. I don't know why you would disparage the other poster for making an educated guess when it's not like Jeff was saying he had a super trustworthy source or did Jeff have an impeccable or even great track record at this years show.

Haha yes! I was thinking this all through the E3 conference and subsequent interviews.

I kinda feel sorry for the poor guy. Surely deep down he knows that he's peddling a can of hot shit?

The original heart and soul behind the xbox 360 initial product identity and game plan have all been long gone. I would love to hear what J Allard is thinking of all this. Kinda surprised that MS haven't lured him out to do some recovery PR interviews.

This is what you get when you hire a bunch of number crunchers and creativity-free drones to create and launch a gaming console.

The fact is, if you can't explain WHY your product is such a great value then customers have no reason to take you at your word.

I feel like there's some wilful misreading of the family account system on the X1 on this and other threads.

You can always play your games, and any one of your family members can be playing from your shared library at a given time.

This doesn't mean that ten people can access your games. This means ONE person can access ONE of your games at any time.

I don't know anything about State of Decay's sales or what metric of sales you're comparing, but I'm pretty sure State of Decay hasn't sold 6 million yet.

edit: Even if it did. What's the point, what's your point? My point is a shit version of Minecraft, a game that can run on most people's machines, fucking sold six million. The PC isn't that much of a factor when it comes to console exclusives.
 
I feel like left behind soooooooooo often for not having watched a single episode of Game of Thrones yet. There are references about it everywhere. I always wait till a series is finished before I watch it. For one, I hate to fucking wait weekly for something to continue, for the other, LOST made me extremely wary if a series stays good all the way through. Also, I hate endless series that are milked beyond its worth...
Can't wait till Breaking Bad is finished - that is the one I'm most interested in.

They won't make an important choice on their next big product within hours..that much is for sure. Don't be naive and think someone in the show floor will know anything about these things lol
