Don't doubt the fire: Robin Williams returning for Mrs. Doubtfire sequel

Cat say that Mrs. Doubtfire was a film I ever thought needed a sequel.

Would have rather had a sequel to Hook, deary.

I really need to watch Hook again, I haven't seen it in years. I was going to say whatever happened to the actor that played Captain Hook, maybe it is because I haven't seen the film in years, but I had no idea it was Dustin Hoffman.

Obviously, as the genderless dystopia marches on, Obama's regime will be forcing Sally Fields to marry a woman, so she convinces her ex-husband to resurrect Mrs. Doubtfire to try and pull a fast one on the tyrannical Obama administration forcing lesbian marriage upon her.

Maybe one of his grown up kids needs their kids to learn some values in the age of cell phones and GTA video games, and only Mrs. Doubtfire can really scare a child into reforming bad habits.

This movie needs to be dark. Let Williams channel the kind of role he played in One Hour Photo.

"He got his kids back, but that wasn't enough..."

Or a crossover... the photo technician is Daniel Hillard's other personality. The flip side of good-natured Mrs. Doubtfire.

I love Mrs. Doubtfire and Robin Williams, but..why? What silly reason would force him dress up as Mrs. Doubtfire again?

Only if it has the original cast. Including Mara Wilson. I don't even think she's really an actress anymore, but she's still willing to be on camera from all the videos she's done for TGWTG.

Also Sally Field. What's she up to lately?

Matthew Lawrence is still active.

But the oldest daughter seems to have stopped acting in 2000.

Also... how would this work? Mrs. Doubtfire was such a self-contained concept. It's not like it's Big Momma's House or something.

I never realised the first film was regarded a classic... i've seen it only one time when it was released and thats that..... i kinda feel nothing about it, i think.

The restaurant scene at the end where he keeps switching back and forth between Daniel and Mrs. Doubtfire, while also switching between the family table and his boss's table, is comedy genius. By the end he's wasted on scotch and forgets he's still in drag when he goes back to his boss's table.

I laugh my ass off every time I see that part on TV.

Severed Doubtfirehead avatars to celebrate the occasion.

Am I going to have that same exact feeling like I had when I saw the first one?

It's been years, Hollywood movies like this suck. I hate all the road trip comedies. Hopefully someone knows how to give that feeling back to their fans again.

Maybe he's put in some scenario where he has to dress as a young woman. So it's like, an old Robin WIlliams and a young Mrs. Doubtfire.

Eh? Eh?

I'm trying to think of a plot concept but drawing a blank. Everyone knew it was him at the end of the first one, how do you do something more with it?

His TV show is a kids classic and the 20 something's want a reunion?
