Ive been lurking in the Doom OT and people seem to be enjoying it though. Ill probably pick it on sale at some point.
People seem to really like the SP in the OT so far

Is it possible to find for PC for $29 from a site that isn't a sketchy cd key reseller like G2A?
Right now the impressions seem to be varying from solid to fantastic for the single player. Multi is still pretty mixed, with most people leaning on the negative side from what I can tell.

cdkeys is somewhat less sketchy than G2A at the very least. They stand behind their keys.
Yeah, I dunno. I generally avoid cd key resellers - I know they're legal, but there's definitely some moral ambiguity as to how some resellers get their keys. But fuck, I really want to play DOOM and $33 is super tempting.
Definitely never buying on G2A, though. I've had friends get fucked over with invalid keys and not get a refund despite their claims of a "100% money back guarantee."

I agree, both of those things are really suspect. and to be fair, the game looked really unappealing to me all leading up to launch
but that latest single player trailer + all the impressions + dooms 'legacy' in gaming makes me feel like it could make a bigger impact then I originally expected. it's gonna be interesting!

that's what makes their decision-making so interesting! the above things (no early review copies + early sales) are generally an indication of shenanigans or a publisher not having confidence in their title. it's certainly not the rule, it's just stuff we've seen happen if I remember correctly

For sure. But that is not the case here at all. Reviews remain to be seen, but I am willing to bet that they lean mostly positive. It is fun as hell, looks and plays great and is simply well made. That is all I know, so take it as you will.

Gaffers have been discussing the game and sharing their thoughts on it since yesterday. i enjoyed the beta, and the positive impressions of the game in the OT finally did it for me. bought from cdkeys for $35, i forgot to use the doom666 code =(

Doom PS4 is 75$ here...I ended up taking this deal and they gave me what looked like a scanned code. The code worked, but this seems really sketchy. Google says that cdkeys.com is legit, but I don't know how to feel about this.
Well the multiplayer beta wasn't so hot and got completely overshadowed by Overwatch so it's understandable why the publisher would be cautious. That being said, no way I buy this at full price. I suspect it'll be in the bargain bin within a couple of months.
