I'm growing to like Luminous now that I've been watching his casts a bit more but I gotta say the increase in volume during fights/something exciting is just terrible. Hasn't been a problem earlier during the dailymotion games, so his sound level is messed up today.

The guy co casting with him sounds like he has a cold. It's driving me insane actually.
 
I like it, gives a bit more personalization, just the new UI gives no space for it. Really like it with Tobi since he flips out a lot, always funny to see.

Yep, it's definitively missing from joinDOTA's charm.

Some casters you really don't care about seeing them (Purge, lots of players) since they are stonewalls for the most part, but Tobi had alot of gestuality.
 
Lots of bugs with PL on test, not sure if he'll get pushed out today. Critical ones too.

Critical Ones:
Illusions spawn when attacking structures, turning PL into a mega pusher.
Illusions from doppelwalking have varying amount of health.
Illusions don't replicate PL's spear throwing move when he does it, making him easy to spot out of the bunch.

Minor:
Bots can see through invisibility, will chase you.
Bots just sit there where you die, teabagging you until you respawn.
PL acts as if he's getting an item for the first time when illusions spawn
PL's head is missing when he respawns.

Those are the ones I encountered.

He's fun to play though, hopefully they push him out to live. It is hard to get a good idea on how he would play on live environment when all you can play with are bots.

Test Update 2

- Fixed Doppelwalked illusions accumulating stats.
- Fixed being able to select hidden illusion.
- Fixed auras coming from hidden illusions.
- Fixed towers/sieges/denies triggering Juxtapose.
- Fixed incorrect tooltip for Phantom Edge.
- Fixed bots clumping up on Phantom Lancer.
- Fixed Doppelwalked illusions not properly duplicating health/mana.
- Fixed Phantom Lancer illusions annoucing items.
- Fixed ALL CAPS message in Sound options.
- Fixed missing strings in hero selection dropdown.
- Fixed Phantom Lancer levelup lines not playing.

More fixes on their way. Thanks for all the testing!

Still wanna try out PL before I go sleep, think I will after this navi match, then watch navi play again on toby's stream after I try PL.

In other bug related news, on Tuesday Ice Frog made a topic asking people to look though the some of the text files to find discrepancies.

I did not realize Life Stealer was supposed to be able to turn on a dime.
 
Both teams left a free Brewmaster on the table... Invoker too.

Interesting, but it seems a waste.

Oh well, look forward to the inevitable BIG BLACK HOLES.

He doesn't. Turn rates above .5 are all pretty much the same. The only time it makes a difference is when Naix's turn rate is slowed, such as with sticky napalm. With his turn rate of 2.1, he'll still be turning at max speed even with the 70% reduction in turn speed.
 
Just played a game against Sniper where I was Weaver.
I had linkins sphere and a lot of the time when sniper was attacking me it would proc my linkens. I checked the replay, he's the only person that attacks me and it procs.

Is that supposed to happen? Its either his Maelstrom going off, or his headshot skill. One of them procs linkens.
Seems pretty dumb if autoattacks like that can waste linkens.

Its maelstrom; I think it may be a bug that it procs linkens though.

two versions of dota. Test version and the version you are playing is the regular build. Test updates come out Wed. Regular build gets update Thurs. So you should see him tonight.. if you already are playing on test build then he's there. I think he was near Riki and VS on the screen.
 
Damn. Sounds like a bunch of good games were played today. I need VODs ASAP.

Edit: Awesome, they listened to people complaining about the health/mana bars. They're huge now!

Puck's AttackRange is 600 instead of 550

don't nerf my puck :(.


When you hold down alt the crosses on the map shift to the character portraits. There might be an option to switch that around, but I like knowing who the enemy is more than the hero, after a few minutes I get used to the color-hero pattern for that game.

I hope there is some mega patch with 5-6 heroes but that's unrealistic :(. I think ogre will be in one
two
weeks.
