just a random mutation. deviants and their gene are a totally separate line, sort of like gorillas and humans. distant common ancestor, but there are no deviants in Thanos' family tree, nor are there any deviant genes. Eternals and Deviants were created separately by two different celestials at the same time.

honestly some sources say he is in possession of the deviant gene and others say nothing. Old marvel handbook says nothing about it, old comics database commentary says he is indeed in possession of the deviant gene. Basically i think you're right though he is a "mutant" in relation to a titanian eternal but i knew i had seen him described as either having or being under the effects of the deviant gene.

Doom isn't usually out to destory humanity or the world. Usually. I meant Kang when I wrote Krang.

I always mess that up, Kang is an interesting case because he could win but he limits himself and his resources for the challenge.

he is a powerful mutant but for the first half of his career he didnt have the celestial tech. Time traveling cable whooped his ass solo. After he got the tech....he became really powerful and stuff...dunno how powerful because that fluctuated.

thats what im talking about, he's supposed to have this affinity for technology and stuff he was all flowing thru the circuits of machines back in x factor. Then he got his ride stole. He should be able to make it return any time he wants...he is a cool idea but by the time he was holding the hulk back str vs str i was like ok....maybe all things xmen is a bit too popular....

I feel Purple Man's purpose is to be Luke Cage's bitch and it's freaking hilarious now when you see them on the same page. In New Avengers, Cage was trying to quell the riot on the Rift and Purple Man tries to mind control him but cage tells him they inhibited his powers, then kicks the shit out of him. Then later they meet again in Thunderbolts (I think it was this comic) and he mind controls people for a riot but Cage just kicks everyone's ass then proceeds to headbutt the Purple's Man's face into dispensing copious amounts of ketchup.

Yea I like that Purple Man gets styled on by Cage. This guy is pretty scummy as far as villains go, while also being really stupid, like Purple Man, you're purple I get that but you couldn't think of anything better than that? Thanos is purple and he still hands out beatings like free healthcare.
