No other characters are even remotely attractive to me though. Whelp for the first time in a Bioware game my first playthrough will be Lesbians.
According to the devs, trying to create true black characters just led to ridiculous-looking results on the old engine. The new one is able to support the skin tones much better without it looking cartoon-ish.
I'm not even sure what you mean. You mean someone who can control their emotions?

Guys, will it be wise for me to just get the PS3 version? What do you guys think? I mean, I hope the PS3 version is not *that* ugly, right? Cause all the pics and videos and such just show the next gen/PC version....... is there any last-gen version screens available....?

Cassandra's fine I guess, but it would nice to get a good non companion wildcard like Kelly Chambers.

We do have Leliana. We just don't know whether the Inquisitor could get into a romantic relationship with her.
Well, Scribe Girl is still out there as a possibility, I guess. She's a major NPC though not a companion, and we know that other non-companions can also have romances (Cullen).
Personally I'm a fan of waiting until I experience the character arc before choosing. I was quite surprised to end up with Leliana in Origins and Isabela in DA2.
The Inquisitor cannot.
"If you were hoping to carry on a love affair from a previous Dragon Age game however, you're clean out of luck. In an interview with PC Gamer, executive producer Mark Darrah confirmed that you wouldn't be able to romance love interests from previous DA titles, to avoid the inevitable "baggage" they'd bring with them."

Leliana does not have a romance in this game.
Apparently BioWare doesn't want us NTRing our Wardens.
Leliana would be close to hitting 40 by this point right? Usually the romance characters tend to be early to mid twenties I think. I suppose they were supposed to age throughout Dragon Age 2 as well. Not that Leliana looks old. Hell a cougar relationship could be fun.
I liked Cassandra in DAII. But I'm still tempted to begin with a female playthrough on the first go which I've never done in a Bioware game. Hopefully they release the character creator early like Origins and I can play around to find a character I want to play as.

Any characters that could of had a "relationship" in a previous Dragon Age will not be available to be romanced in DA:I

I honestly don't think DA:I will need a X1/PS4/PC, unless you want higher resolution and post-processing. From the screenshots and vids, it seems they designed it for older consoles first.

I like fucking things in games. If DA:I is unable to deliver I know a game that 100% will 4 months later.
Most of the info being released is companion reveals. Once they start showing more of the dialogue system/the DA Keep/combat/Inquisition stronghold missions I'd expect that to change.

Welp, she was the only one that looked even mildly promising to me. Looks like this might be the first BioWare game where I don't romance anyone.

Er... looking at the screenshots on the website, it looks like a skunk died on his head, or that he's wearing a really bad toupee that he's covered in shoe polish.
Well, if he does go in my party, that's what PC appearance mods are for. I mean, I wasn't a fan of Anders' jowly and weak-chinned face in DA2 (especially comparing his appearance to Awakenings) until a good mod spruced him up, so I have no problem applying some creative fan's aesthetic improvements to the companions in this game.

But you're playing a new character, 'continuing' your Grey Warden's relationship with the Inquisitor is hardly true love, more like relay racing.
Maybe they should have just turned DA II into Orgy on Shit Mountain. Problem solved.

Hmmm, in that case maybe I should just get it for my PS3 since I am not planning to get a PS4 anytime soon (especially with Persona 5 already confirmed for PS3) and there are still tons of games I need to play for the PS3.

Or they could have her deny your advances if you romanced her in origins or let you romance if you didn't. This is just lazy.
Current BW. Post-EA BW, something like that. The BW that wants to appeal to everyone, not just RPG fans.
I didn't even know there is a PS360 version.

While I never romance anyone in games, I always loved how Bioware is one of the few developers that had dialogue options which could make the player lead the romanceable characters on and then troll them.

This is the boat I'm in atm. Might change my mind by release, but right now I'm probably gonna roll female just to get with Sera.
Or maybe not every character in the game needs to be fuckable and older characters that many potentially romanced already are especially fitting to fall into that category.

Dev who aren't doing something that you want them to do aren't 'lazy'. They're just doing other things instead of the thing that you want. Given that Bio have already said there are more romances in this game than in either previous Dragon Age, and given how long they've spent developing the title, laziness clearly isn't an issue. They simply can't account for all possible personal tastes on the part of the player (I didn't like any of the romanceable characters in ME1 or DA2).

I'm also amused by how much people want to know about romancing. I like the surprise of it all, yet many people clamor for a LI chart so they can know exactly every detail of who is available to who.
Uh, no. We already know Alistair, Loghain, Anora, The Dark Ritual (if you chose it) will all show up in whatever combination you left the DA Origins world in, and that's just the choices we know of.
I have no idea what your "fucking BioWare" is supposed to mean, considering when it comes to importing any choices in the first place they are pretty much the only name in town.
Do you prefer : "DA:I is doomed to fail" ?

Well you're not beholden to your past choices since you won't be importing saves, but generating world states with the DA Keep, so if you want you can have them still alive if opt to go through with the Dark Ritual.

I only played Dragon Age Origins, is the comic choice thingy they got in beta right now gonna be reasonably detailed?
I don't know if I want to spend too much time doing another good and evil run in Dragon Age (since I deleted my old saves), then continue both runs in Awakening...then doing both runs in Dragon Age 2. Nobody got time for that.

I'm curious how this will be handled since we know more or less the Dark Ritual and Old God Baby will be featured if you went through with that, but they have stated the DA Keep will not feature any kind of character creator so I wonder how they will handle the Warden's appearance, will they just slap a helmet on them and only go by race/gender? They've also hinted at Hawke appearing so are they just gonna slap a helmet on her too?

Hopefully they keep the Warden helmeted and voiceless, if they show them at all. I think I would be happiest if they just referenced them and left us with an ambiguous idea of what they're up to so everyone can headcanon the details for themselves.

Where there's a will there's a way. ME on UE3 was thought to be the same, but there are plenty of mods for those games now, mostly texture mods, but nonetheless people will find a way to change things.
Perhaps you'll meet the warden, but they will be fully armoured. But that means DA Keep would need to allow you to at least choose a race and gender for the Warden and at that point why not just let us create the full character.
I expect the Warden to be talked about a lot, but never shown. Regardless of what BioWare have hinted at. I imagine it's meaningless teases.
