Dragon Age: Inquisition - Greater Mistral(Dragon) Break Down - 5 min video

Yes! It worked!

I assumed if I replied like that, someone would reply with that gif. ;)

Not to say I'm lying. I love jumping in games, always hate it when I can't. :(

Gaffermancer

I don't know what to make of that. I'm not sure if that's something I'll like or dislike. Seems like it could turn out bad easily.

Could turn out that they fly around and one lands at a time to give you the chance to work on them. Or you fight two at a time, I think that's how it's going to be. They may need to fly somewhere to get resources to be able to fight. Water dragons or something for example. I hope it's not very chaotic.

With their new battle system tweaks maybe they are able to do stuff like this.

It reminds me of when ffxiv was changed to 2.0, they have a different fighting system so they don't need to keep introducing adds to make fights challenging. You also (related to the above spoiler)
fight two to 3 big things at once in some cases.

FFXIV example don't click if you don't want to see a ffxiv fight.

Nothing wrong with move sets. Just having a giant creature that just sits there as you wail on them is pretty boring. And they don't move so fast as to make pause and play with the tactical cam hard or anything.

I didn't mean that, and I do agree with you. I just meant that "characteristics and personalities" just translates to "moveset".

Context? Deluxe edition armour?

Yeah. I believe that's the Flames of the Inquisition armor set and weapon set you get for pre-ordering. You also get the schematics for them so you can recreate them if you like the look.

Ahh gotcha. Any significance to the area shown?

I guess another stream is on Monday showing off the Stronghold and what not.

New stream on monday, featuring the Skyhold, companions and some new gameplay.

I like how much gameplay they are showing, it screams confidence.

Re: female qunari in above image

I get pissed every time I see an ugly player character in this game. The character creator is so good there should be no excuse. You have to intentionally try to make them look awkward.

Not a fan of the UI and especially the item icons. No idea why they would transfer those from Dragon Age 2.

That said, the rest looks pretty good.

Looks like the Fallow Mire, that was the demo area shown during Gamescom, just a bog with rundown castles and bogs will the undead.

Schematics are a genius addition to crafting. I hate how you have set armor styles for different types of armor.

I mean I don't see nothing wrong if you want to make your character intentionally rough looking. It actually adds some realism IMO. Not every character needs to be a dime piece.

Still debating if I want to get this on PC or PS4. Cause I really want to play the MP with friends and pretty sure I will have friends to play with on PS4. Plus I'm one of the heathens that actually sort of prefers the controller controls. (Not sure if PC supports controller, DA:O and DA2 didn't iirc.)

PC version does support gamepad

Very cool.

I'm really enjoying their streams as well. As someone that hasn't played that much DA in the past these streams have effectively sold me the game, as I was interested before but wasn't sure if I would get it right away or not.

Wait what? Link?

The strange thing is that someone recently asked Lady Insanity the same question and she said, last she had heard from the team, there was something like 30 dragons.

I really don't think the maximum number of dragons in the game is 10 based on the fact that Cameron specifically mentions that encounter w/ 3 in one area.

Super interested in this game, but I don't know if I'll like it.

Will it have an interesting story?
Will I enjoy the combat?

Do I need to know the story of the previous games?

I don't know!

Yes, Maybe, No. If you've played KotoR or Mass Effect and liked those games I'm sure you'll enjoy this in one way or another. Previous two games are not required though, each is designed to stand on their own, 2 and Inquisition are definitely sequels, but just not direct one. It's like the Fallout series. Other entries aren't required to enjoy or understand them, they just help flesh things out further.

Looks alright. Seems like the same old, same old. I really want to like this game but I am still on the fence. We'll see what the reviews are like from the non-fanboi, non-paid to review it at above 8.5 sites.

Shame you can't climb on them like in Dragon's Dogma (or can you? I haven't seen anything indicating you can). That shit was awesome and fun.
I hope DA:I skills are as interesting as DD.

30 dragons in the game, but only 10 high dragons.

Seems like that would be kinda boring after awhile unless those 10 high dragons had very unique attacks/weaknesses.

Make them increasingly harder, the fights different, and put impressive loot behind them and it'll all be worth the fight even if fighting them is a person's cup of tea.

I wonder if the game world scales, I think this was answered but I forgot. If it doesn't scale there's no point in me making a save where all possible dragons are untouched to fight them in my final form to see them in their final form.

*Just looked it up, apparently enemies don't auto scale. I also forgot about the streamers fighting dragons that were too high level. Dang, no saving dragons for me.

Dragons at max level mod :( In my dreams. The final dragon better be epic x 10.
