To think that had Goku rocking the shit out of Krillin, the tractor scene and SSJ Satan all in back to back episodes.

Truly the successor to the driving school episode we deserved

Until the new content started, the episode with this was easily the best one:

Hell, that's arguably still the greatest moment in Super. It's pure fucking gold.

I, what? What lol

Did he steal that tractor? lol

Hahahahaha, I didn't see that episode

It was his tractor. He was pulling it along because it didn't work when he spotted Mr. Satan. He needed to leave because Chi Chi showed up, so he asked Mr. Satan to pretend to punch him, and when he did, he acted like he flew off from the punch... but dipped down to grab the tractor while flying away lol

The scene where he breaks through the wall after he hears Vegeta was training with Whis is better.

I will honestly end up preferring super to Z by the time it's done probably. And by Z I mean specifically the original Z anime not Kai or that section of the manga. I don't think Super will come close to how boring Z could be.

I hope we'll get to explore the backstories of the saiyan after the tournament, with cabba bringing them to check out planet salad.

Very curious as to who's the saiyan ruler over there

100% this.

That was the first and only scene in Dragonball Super (or any Dragonball really outside of TFS) that literally made me tear up from laughing so hard.

It was like the most Goku possible thing to ever happen and it was amazing.

Ya gotta admit, SSJ Videl would be sweet.

Hey, if a saiyan gave a blood transfusion - would the recipient become a saiyan too?

Man Videl should be able to tap into Super Saiyan power levels now that her body got a taste of it. I mean, it worked for Goku with SSG right?

I'm pretty sure AT forgot everything about Videl except her name and that Gohan had a wife, only explanation with how she's a completely different character in Super

Can Videl even fly anymore? She probably forgot like Gohan forgot how to go SSJ

Rewatching some of Z and I miss serious Goku. I don't mind him being dumb as shit during slice of life episodes but it's time for him to get down to business already. The only time I remember Goku being a bit dumb in Z was during King Kais training and maybe some of the movies like when he and Chi Chi were talking to Gohans teachers.

Anybody get the feeling that Vegeta is more like Goku in Z than Goku? Vegeta is battle smart, a bit funny and is wrecking everyone.

It was addressed though.
Hey I don't remember Chi Chi or Bulma or 18 turning into unrecognizable husks of themselves. That person walking around in Super is some generic doll taking someone else's name, a Skrull with poor training.

Baby Pan is a more unique character than Super Videl.

Huh. I'm just saying that they didn't "forget" about Videl. They explicitly addressed her change in the show.

Woah they used the old chara design for Goku.

Which makes me realize the old chara design was about 455618616548985296 times better.

Er, Chi Chi goes through an intense and dramatic change between Dragonball and Dragonball Z. In Dragonball, she's literally a warrior - a martial artist, a hero, daughter to a violent ox king. She enters fighting tournaments, has a super hero helmet, etc.

In DBZ, she is a stereotypical overprotective japanese mother.

She is basically the prime example of a character's personality doing a 180.

Chi Chi, 18 and Videl are definitely husks of their former selves. Bulma is the only one that hasn't been completely ruined. But Videl's transformation is the worst and she has absolutely no personality now. Amazing considering she's supposed to be daughter of the "strongest man" in the world and a born and raised fighter.

Can't wait for Vados to get pregnant and become a house wife.

I hope in 10 years we get a Dragonball Super demake using the old art and animation style like the 90's as well as the old OST. Hard to bitch about the sterile style in Super because its just how anime is these days.

Is there a reason why there is a lack of blood? Naruto had some pretty violent scenes in it as did OG Dragonball.

We're more likely to get a Super remake of DBZ, similar to how DB: The Path to Power used the art style of DBGT.

Said it before and I'll say it again: people are way too hard on Videl

She's a minor character so of course she's lost what she had in Buu saga and, so far in the show she's been pregnant and then taking care of said newbornly baby - which yes has been keeping Gohan preoccupied as well since thankfully he was raised with Piccolo as a father!

I want my Great Saiyawoman back, but at the current time whatever she's got stuff. I'm just glad she didn't take Chi-Chi's side earlier that fighting = bad and instead reminisced fondly of her own fighter upbringing and it leading her to Gohan.

also we got Super Saiyan Videl hell yes

I think it might just be Toei already planning the international release of the series, where blood often has to be edited out. They kept the blood in the Kai flashbacks, and Dragonball Kai itself was airing just before Super with no removed blood aside from the Raditz incident.
