I don't see why people think Piccolo or Goku are going to get re-entered into the tournament. Frost got knocked already and Piccolo forfeit. I don't think Monaka is even going to get a fight in the tournament setting even if he does show something.
Piccolo won because Frost cheated. If it wasn't for Vegeta wanting to beat Frost, Piccolo would have continued, so why would Goku not get another shot? He would've won easily if Frost didn't cheat.

My prediction is that Monaka's ability is to make people remember events differently. So he made Beerus think he fended him off and was his strongest opponent ever, and will make the stadium believe he went first, letting Goku fight again.

I love how this sounds.

I hope Vegeta shines this next episode tho.

So, Monaka is sort of like...Souske Aizen in this theory?

That would be legit amazing. And he is doing it with his nipples.

I'm wondering if Monoka is just a troll character that Beerus mentioned is stronger than Goku to light a huge fire under Goku and Vegeta's ass to train harder. It has happened before in DBZ.

Man, I kinda wish they expanded Piccolo's ability to be "strategic" to be a little more impressive than badly animating dodging while charging up KI and bullshit command grabs. Shifting the perception of Piccolo's power to be manipulative and lean on creating opportunities to use the Special Beam Canon Mankusupalotopus or whatever would be a really cool angle to take.

I don't know man... He took that hit from Goku pretty well. Sent Krillin flying when Goku hit him.

My prediction for the next ep is that Vegeta dominates the fight, possibly turns SSB, thus piquing Hit's interest. Against all odds, Frost still has one dirty trick up his sleeve, and is about to beat Vegeta, but Hit secretly intervenes and utterly destroys Frost. Vegeta wins, but is left wondering wth just happened.
Hit's power? Time/dimensional manipulation, much like Dio's (like that Ginyu force dude but actually good).

Long term prediction:
Vegeta wins against metalman dude;
Vegeta loses to Cabba in a spectacular match that pushes the two of them to their limits, Cabba almost awakens his SSJ form;
Monaka is revealed to be a semi-joke character, with a weird transformation/power, and easily wins against Cabba;
Hit brutally kills Monaka, tournament is stopped,Hit doesn't listen, shit hits the fan and Vados and Hit show their true colours;
Goku fights Hit, Whis fights Vados, Goku is almost killed by Hit, gets saved by Beerus, who dies;

The real DBS starts here.

Goku should wish to never go hungry again, only to be told 'that's fucking impossible.' lol

Dumb Predictions:
- Gohan will learn to turn SSB due to Science
- Goku will ascend to Super Saiyan Green (SSG)
- They'll make Broly a Villain
- Cell will make a comeback cuz why not?
- Mr. Satan will save the Universe again

I'm still salty over what Goku said to Piccolo, that was uncalled for.

Goku has always been blatantly truthful. He did the same thing back in the Cell arc, with him outright stating to Vegeta that Goku was stronger and Goku telling Piccolo that he had no chance against Cell even after entering the RoSaT.

Is it normal for a wife to call her husband by "his name - san"? That scene was weird, I don't recall she ever calling him Goku-san.

It's not "san" it's "sa." "sa" is the honorific wives use to refer to their husband.

Throughout the entire Dragonball Z and Dragonball Super, she has always, exclusively, referred to him as "Goku-sa." She has never not used the sa honorific.

Even in video games, she refers to him as "Goku-sa":

In fact, even in Dragonball, before they got married, in the scenes she'd randomly appear in, she'd use it. Which was an untranslated running joke - she always referred to Goku as her husband (because of his mistaken promise) and he never caught on.

Which would be, of course, absolutely meaningless, because they already have 6 of the 7 dragon balls right there.
The dragon balls get stolen by Vados and Hit. We don't know what happens to Gods of destruction when they get killed, maybe he just fucking disappears or gets sealed away, and the only way to revive him is the super dragon balls , thus commencing the "search for the dragon balls/beat the bad guys and revive Beerus" arc. Shit is dumb enough to be real. Anyways I'm just trying to have some fun, flaws or not Super manages to be extremely catching and exciting, can't wait for next week!

I assume they just die like King Kai.

Death is hardly consistent in Dragonball. Remember when Enma tells Vegeta what will happen to him because he isn't going to heaven? His soul will be cleansed, his body discarded, he'll basically be recycled, because the original manga didn't have a concept of hell (all scene with hell are anime filler), only heaven.

Then Dragon Ball Super comes along, and none of that happens to freeza, and instead he's in hell.

Ok, it's Vegeta's time to shine. I hope he wrecks Frost and Mageta and than has an epic fight against Cabba (or Cabbe?)

My random theory: Vados is setting up Hit to be the new God of Destruction of Universe 6

Hell is mentioned in the manga (regarding Dabura not being sent to there, snice it was similar to his own world). The reincarnation stuff probably takes a while (with Kid Buu's case being explained as an exception that happened faster than usual recently).

Re: Frost v Piccolo

This fight disappointed me if only because I was really hoping we'd be given a situation where someone weaker won against someone stronger through strategy and it wasn't just another situation of stronger always wins. It becomes boring when the fights boil down to "let's check the scouters, strongest person wins". Give me more Saiyan through Frieza Saga fights.

As it stands the fight was basically pointless.

That's not what happened in this fight at all though, and really hasn't been the case in Super at all so far

You might have a point with the Saiyan example, but Freeza's battles were generally pretty similar to this. Abilities and strategy that gave some trouble to the stronger enemy but eventually failed in one way or another, letting the stronger fighter win anyway. There was never any weaker fighter that won a battle in the Freeza Saga (Guldo came close, but then just got killed by Vegeta).

Sure, yeah, I guess even Frieza Saga ultimately came down to stronger = winner you felt like the little guys at least had a chance and the battles were appropriately epic with plenty of oh fuck moments where they could have won, even if the laws of shonen anime say of course they won't. It was at least less of these pointless joke fights.

AFAIK Goku-sa is just Chichi being a hick and her endearing term for Goku; Bulma certainly doesn't say Vegeta-sa. She seems to talk with a certain accent, and the "sa" thing for Goku falls into that. She doesn't say "sa" to anyone else, tho.

Did I miss something? It seemed to be an entire episode that amounted to Piccolo charging his laser and then nothing. He never even got to use it.
Yeah but that's nothing to with bigger power levels = winning. Piccolo was going to win (through strategy he tricked and trapped Frost) , then Frost cheated. Then they found out Frost cheated so Piccolo did win. But then Piccolo stepped down and negated his win because Vegeta told him to.

Piccolo almost won here though when he grabbed Frost and had the Makakosappo almost charged. Frost had to cheat to win by that point, in spite of being stronger.

Champa has been made out to be a whiny little bitch but power wise, he could still fuck up every single fighter that is not his brother or the blue peeps. There is no way Hit is going to be anywhere close to Champas ballpark, if he is then hoping beyond hope that when Goku reenters the tournament (come on, of fucking course that will happen) Hit beats him to an inch of his life.

Seriously disappointing that Frost ended up as a bad guy, it would have been so lovely if he was actually good and basically the likes of Vegeta and Goku are shown to be arseholes that put themselves before family (which they do). I'm still holding to hope that the little saiyan is incredibly strong, after all Frost is weak but the bear before could pretty easily fuck up Frost with his ability, so Frost being emperor does not mean much in terms of power.

Maybe that's the reason Frost has a good guy front; he knows there are stronger people out there and prefers to play it safe.

Meanwhile, Freeza knew he was the toughest guy around so he could be openly evil.

If Frost was roughly analogous to Freiza, is the thinking that Hit is roughly analogous to Cell? He certainly looks the part.

Then I wonder how events would have unfolded in universe 6, without Freizas original death, and without the Wonder Pals from our universe for DNA...

I also wonder how powerful he really can be if he's a creation like Cell. I guess Frost was made a small challenge by Goku being stupid and not going full power, but they're not going to make that mistake again (well, unless Vegetas Pride, which could always happen).

If he's NOT a creation like Cell, is he a new species that we've never seen or doesn't exist in universe 7?

Maybe that's the reason Frost has a good guy front; he knows there are stronger people out there and prefers to play it safe.

That could be part of the reason for having yet another Freiza-like character, it's like, this guy ruled our galaxy for decades, but he's just ok in universe 6.

I hope Hit plays off better than Frost and wrecks our team.
