These posts amuse me, it was "ok". Well, thanks for that enthusiastic contribution. Those 15 or so last episodes written, animated, produced, broadcast, hosted by people running websites, all the work involved in all stages of them appearing on your screen - they were ok.

There's this weird concept called gratitude, and another weird one of not continuing to do something if it doesnt excite you. If I got 40 episodes into something I hated that eventually made it to "ok", I would really consider doing something else. Not to pick on you individually, i'm sure youre a lovely person, but "its ok" does nothing for anybody. Its a good show, we're all damn lucky they're making more of them 15 years later or whatever it is.

This post amuses me because it's someone literally getting offended that another person doesn't like the Dragon Ball as much as he does and would rather live in an echochamber of positive compliments than bear listening to any sort of criticism.

What's wrong with him having an opinion? If we take a step back and look at the events of the tournament as a whole they really weren't anything super amazing given the ultimate conclusion and now lack of urgency over Universe 6 losing. I can easily see why someone would feel that way.

absolutely nothing, but would you watch 40 episodes of something you didnt like, with the ultimate peak of it being "its ok"?. I'm not saying we should all bow and thank the lord above for every episode, but neither am I so ungrateful and nonplussed by life to shrug and say meh, its ok. Its Dragonball! Its more of it, new content, and its pretty great!

I'm not offended I just think its a glass half empty attitude.

We should be thanking Dragon Ball Evolution for that

Thats like one of those weird events that scares you if you think about it, like you only having met your wife because your car wouldnt start and you were late one day. Good coming from bad.

I dont understand. It's perfectly fine. What's this being grateful business you're talking about?

Just a silly old man who likes to see the positives in things, and loving a weekly serialised dose of new DB.

And that's great you like it but to say others can't is kind of silly. People stick with things all the time even if there are parts within the whole they don't like because there's always hope something they'll enjoy will come along eventually. It's part of being a fan.

I am glad Vados and Whis are quick to repair the shields and block shrapnel, because goku sure doesn't seem to care if he slaughters all the guests.

I can't be the only one who has to fight a legitimate physical reaction to vomit profusely every time they see Frieza misspelled as "Freezer".

Did you have the same opinion about GT? Because while not really canon, it did bring back the characters. And it was complete sh#t. Utter piece of crap. You think people should lower themselves just because the thing they wanted wasn't as good as they were hoping for?

And this is coming from someone who loves Super.

Not a great fan of it so I stopped watching it. I think people shouldnt bother watching 40 episodes of something that doesnt fire up any passion in them. But anyway, enough of this.

So goku can now go so fast that even stop time can't stop him but hit just stopped time even more and so now I'm confused on the the feat

In the Latin dub he's called Freezer and in the original Japanese his name is spelled Furiza if I'm not wrong. Frieza it's only used for the English dub, so I fail to see why it would create such a reaction just seeing how other languages adapted his name.

Translation for the latest manga chapter is out, if anyone cares. I liked some parts better than the anime version... like Vegeta trying to lift Magetta out of the ring and failing. I'm surprised how different the manga's version of the fights have been so far.

Breezing through the fights and opting for more comedy.

I have similar feelings about "Frieza" with an i, lol. Also I think it's funny that they went with Frieza for him but Cooler for his brother.

He just got strong enough to bypass Hit's time stop. The stronger you get in DB, the less effect hax has on you. You can't out speed time unless you're the Flash.

What a weird post lol

I wonder how hit's moveset is gonna translate into video games, almost his entire moveset relies on his time skipping abilities

Yeah but I

Only when I see it spelled with an i

... pretty much this. I'm not going to rage on people using the dub names or SS versus SSJ (though this one IS kind of silly) or whatever. I just don't care enough nor do I feel like I should. One makes more sense to me than the other, but I realize everyone comes from different places, so even seeing someone call Mr Satan "Hercule" doesn't bother me because that's what they know and we generally know what we're talking about.

We have more important things to argue about, like episode 5 or weird music choices at weird times or how the last several episodes have been too goddamned fantastic to care about the previous two things I just said.

The last episode had everything. A crazy new form in action, a big fight, and DragonBall-esque humor.

DragonBall Super episode 40 was everything I wanted from this new series in a nutshell

Thats like one of those weird events that scares you if you think about it, like you only having met your wife because your car wouldnt start and you were late one day. Good coming from bad.

So people should adhere to how you feel about something? Once again, it's stifling discussion and opinions because you personally feel we should be thankful about getting more Dragon Ball.

I have some mixed feelings of the past few episodes, but I do like the classic Dragon Ball style of ending this arc got. Vegeta should have given Hit a better fight because of his experience with Guldo.

Questions about Kais. Can all Kais use Kaio Ken and are the Supreme Kais on equal tier with Destruction gods or are Destruction gods above them?
So goku can now go so fast that even stop time can't stop him but hit just stopped time even more and so now I'm confused on the the feat

I think Goku is so fast that Hit cannot react in slowing time or Goku is so fast that he can temporarily fight with Hit under the .5 sec window or Goku is faster than their experience of time.

I wonder how hit's moveset is gonna translate into video games, almost his entire moveset relies on his time skipping abilities

Depends on how involved they get with the moveset. The old Tenkaichi Budokai games had paralyzing attacks. Hit's time stop would be basically that with a filter applied to the background. If they don't bother with that, it could be just part of cutscene attack animations alongside some instant teleport.

Kaioken is an exclusive technique created by the North Kai. The Supreme Kai are technically on the same "ranking" as the God of Destruction, but they're much weaker than them, although they have other abilities like long range observation and creating moons and planets.

But Hit doesn't stop time, he "skips" it. Like, he does his stuff "between the frames" you might say.

I want to see how the manga will handle his ability. In the anime, although initially it's called timeskip, and initially that's how it seems to work, it basically becomes time freeze once he starts upgrading it - since he starts attacking Goku during the ability itself, rather than only after it. There's also how his last upgrade allowed him to specifically freeze Goku inside the frozen time. Its name and its depiction really don't match. The manga version of the battle should tells us if it's really meant to be like that or if it's just an interpretation by the anime staff.

Is there really anyone out there who likes GT?

GT had some nice ideas on paper but the execution of them... and ultimate ripping off of ideas we already saw in Z along with the positioning of Goku as the only character who really mattered... made everything fall flat on its face.

He increased the amount of time he can dip out of the time stream. It's like how long you can hold your breath underwater.

He describes it as increasing the amount of time, but he also changes how he uses it altogether. In the beginning, he only uses timeskip to, well, "skip" the flow of attacks - disappearing and reappearing already in position to attack. Goku counters that by foreseeing where he'll appear.

Once he starts upgrading though, then he attacks Goku during the "timeskip" itself, effectively making it into a time freeze ability. And yet, like you say there, they only mention the time being extended. I don't think the name of the ability really matches how it works - at least not in the anime.

I decided to give Pafu a try for the latest episode just cos I'd been without proper internet for a whipe and wanted to binge and I don't think they understood that "one fifth of a second" is 0.2, not 0.5. lol. For a sec I was like "wow he got a lot faster between episodes". lmao

Effort doesn't equal success.

Narrowly better.

Have to disagree. GT followed it's own weird ass story, Toriyama wrote none of it, and it only gained popularity because they put some lame ass rap song for the intro so everyone messed their pants over it. The only good thing that EVER came out of GT was Dragon Ball GT Final Bout... and that's a video game.

you think DBS is a failure?

GT is ass, but it has a killer soundtrack (the original one, I mean)

That, and Pan's design are pretty much the only things I like about it.
