I haven't watched the episode, but I remember in the manga Goku mentions being really hungry. So if I had to guess, if he passed out or lost energy, it's more likely because of that then some technique Frost is able to do.

Fuck this, so disappointed, two fights with one episode already finished, if this was dbz it would have been 30 episode fight with just these first two fights. :( Its over.

My dude. This isn't even a super serious tournament.

I predict this is the setup for the down the line Hit vs. Gohan

also disappointed that the bear and frost are garbage tier. I wouldn't be surprised if the robot and the saiyan are also garbage. Why even bring monaka if its this one sided?

Frost isnt' garbage tier guys, lol. He's at least as strong if not stronger than Namek era Freeza, and to be able to compete with Base God Goku is impressive in it's own right. None of the U6 fighters are going to be outright weak.

Cabba is probably going to be able to compete without the need for SSJ.

I'm late to the conversation about this, but from watching Super subs, I've come to understand how people who don't understand Japanese can still prefer the Japanese voice acting over the English. I've never really cared about an anime enough to watch it subbed since Super, but I've come to like the Japanese versions of Vegeta, Bulma, Whis, King Kai (before his health degraded) and several others much more than their English counterparts.

Generally for the most part I try to watch things in their original version, since largely that's what the product is made the be, the original vision so to speak. Nothing wrong with dubs, but whether people like it or not when it comes to products from overseas, the dubs of movies and tv series will never be the original vision.

Its
obvious goku lost on purpose, he saw how nice of a guy frost was and goku knew he is way more powerful and just decided to give him the win.

Just the comparison between him and Beerus alone likely means he didn't bring the absolute best, just whatever he saw was "the best".

Out of all of them, I expect Hit at the very least to wipe the floor with Vegeta.

Yeah.

By the way it wasn't said exactly what made Goku act the way he did at the end there.

What is wrong with the dub? I thought the common opinion was that Kai/BOG/ROF have good castings and good quality overall. I especially like Beerus and Whis' voice actors. They really suit them.

Dunno if I can point to any one specific thing. I'd have to go back and listen to the dub again. I just know that I hear the dubs and everything sounds off. Maybe it's the timing? I don't know. It feels stiff and unnatural.

Of course, it's entirely possible the Japanese dub sounds similarly stiff and unnatural to native Japanese speakers, but I certainly can't tell.

The first person view
becoming blurry
and the episode preview narration suggest otherwise though.

I still think the saiyan will beat Vegetta. Ssj on regular universe was something connected to anger, maybe on the other universe they didn't need to achieve it and are strong as in mystic Gohan. Haven't seen the latest episode but from the comments the fight between Goku and Frost ends ?

Goku get ringed out, so yes.

It's worth noting that the only time Hit actually opened his eyes and paid attention was when Goku went Super Saiyan.

Breh is definitely sizing dudes up. I expect him to expect Vegeta to do the same if he fights him.

Watched the ep, a bit of wonky here and there and a few too many cut aways, but over all I think it was a pretty awesome episode. The Frost fight was fuckin rad.

Good plot development... Frost is a super nice guy... but shoddy animation kind of ruined the overall presentation.

Ah, well at least it's good to know they're working on the plot. Ratings are up as of last week's episode no? Hopefully they'll put some more love on the animation from now on.
