Animation and design was on fucking point in the final Kid Buu fight. When Goku turns super saiyan while throwing that spirit bomb. Still one of the best moments in Z and I think the best drawn super saiyan look Goku has ever had.

How can anyone say vegeta and goku haven't improved when Vegeta literally knocks out a golden freeza copy with a single punch just as a super saiyan. We have seen too little of SSB to comment on its true strength. He knocks out Cabba with a single punch too so the power increase is tremendous.

I'm with you. That is by far my favorite design in Dragon Ball.

Sad it never really did anything of note and then got written to be worthless.

Seeing the transformation itself for the first time was really cool, although I can see why they want to move away from that kind of a design.

No he can't. And before saying "but, Dragonballs" the Dragonballs can only do mass resurrections for people who died within a year of the wish. If he wanted to bring Saiyans back beyond his and Goku's families, he'd need to do it one at a time

There's a time limit of 1 year for Shenron on reviving a large group of people.

Anyway, fucking great episode for Vegeta. Best character in Super. Great to see his saiyan pride return. Hope he gets some good stuff in against Hit though since the rest of the opponents have been dogshit so far. Goku can't be really far ahead of Vegeta either if any so the power gap isn't gonna be superhuge. Another technique/gimmick thing probably.

At one point I hoped for super saiyan red to return next week even though that's impossible. I still think that should be the most powerful form as you borrow the power from 5 saiyans. It would also explain Goku being able to keep up with Beerus then but not as SSB. Anyway, no Goku going red against Hit alas, too few saiyans there.

Based on previews I think Goku is actually going to legit lose against hit now, instead of the forfeit I predicted earlier and that a lot of people seem to support. I still expect Monaka to be a fraud or some sort of demonic super power that is going to get awakened.

Frost is nowhere near Golden Freeza levels.
Blue is also stronger than regular Super Saiyan God.

But I'm surprised he's never been pushed that far. I guess the saiyans got their universe on lock.

The requirements for Super Saiyan transformation is purely dictated by plot. For Goku it was anger over the loss of a friend, for Vegeta it was his own indignation, Future Trunks was the same as Goku. Gohan it was his need to protect people. Goten/trunks so they could be relevant in the saga.

There is no point trying to pin down what the transformation actually requires.

Frost wasn't a Gold Freeza copy though. He kept that form even after being knocked out, so it's Freeza's 4th/natural form, not the Golden Freeza form, which worked like a SSJ transformation. In the manga, Goku even says that he could become much stronger if he trained, IIRC.

Yeah by "now" I meant in recent times in the series, buu saga wasn't that long ago. The legendary warrior is achievable by damn near every saiyan, whereas it was only achievable by 1 in the 1000 years prior (or something).

I mean let's be real Frieza blew up krillin in front of him and threatened his son right there, the danger was was way more palpable and real. When Vegeta did it he had nearly died fighting a huge fuckin asteroid. Those situations felt much more dire and desperate.

Not that it really matters anyway, as others have said goten and trunks did it with ease.
