I'm pretty there weren't multiple super saiyans being churned out every decade; the saiyan race as depicted seemed pretty weak compared to the current batch we have.
I guess the argument could be made that once goku did it he could pass on his knowledge. But Vegeta did it on his own, gohan was the only one who was coached. Trunks and Goten achieved it while taking a shit I bet.
Either way I am not necessarily upset or anything that Cabba is a SSJ now, just commenting on how a super saiyan was the ultimate warrior, and a whole arc established this (namek), now anyone can be coached into it. The power creep throughout the series calls for it though I suppose.

Yeahhh I always hated Goten and *Trunk's SS transformations and I really can't say I enjoyed it being handed to over nothing in just 2 seconds. I mean it was cool that Vegeta taught it to him and all... but it's still not something I can enjoy when it's this forced. I mean learning to go Super Saiyan pre-Gotenks used to require a lot - Gohan has always been known for having immense power inside him yet even he had to struggle hard to attain it, with a whole year of Hyperbolic training specifically with that goal.

(I'm not for gore or whatever, don't even really watch R rated movies, but blood in DBZ has usually been done well, and served as a notice for things getting serious. It added to scenes like Vegeta vs Kid Buu greatly. Did they ditch it for more kid...friendly ratings?)

It's the first drop of blood outside of flashbacks and nosebleeds that we're getting in Super, yes.

I like the look of Super Saiyan blue but OG Super Saiyan is still the goat transformation. The Golden hair and green eyes are iconic. I liked seeing SSB vs. SSJ briefly although the outcome was obvious.

I liked the fact that Cabba uses the same stance as Vegeta did during early DBZ.
The fight was pretty lackluster though. When Cabba became SSJ things improved slightly.

Eh the best looking thing of this tourney is still a brief moment between SS Goku vs Frost. Nothing in this episode animation+choreography wise looked amazing imo. Except for maybe very brief moments, but not enough for me to really take away anything.
