Well whether they win or lose doesn't matter. Vegeta asking Cabba to introduce him to the King of Sadara pretty much meant they are going to U6 no matter what.
So it's a win win situation.
This is all just more fodder for my argument of
only Goku ever learning other techniques.
In the three years they spent together, Vegeta never bothered to ask "hey what was that technique with which you rekt me back when we first met, when you turned red and all".

Universe 7 wins. I really wanted the series to continue in Universe 6. Kaioken coming back is rad and I wonder who appears in the ring.

it's disappointing. Though it sounds like the person who appears on stage at the end might be a newcomer.

The person who enters the ring is
Monaka. Monaka is too afraid to unleash his power for a lowly enemy like Hit, and so purposefully gets his ass handed to him. As Champa prepares to eradicate the U6 team, Monaka steps in and unleashes his Super Nipple Periwinkle transformation and defeats Champa with a sneeze

I have two theories, either
Monaka is as strong as Beerus claims or both Gods of Destructions have embarrassing weaknesses which is why Beerus lied.

No, he never did that. Beerus just states that Monaka has been his toughest opponent, and that SSG Goku was the second toughest

Kaioken would be ridiculously powerful. He did 20x on Frieza in the past. I doubt he'll use over 4x. My prediction is Kaioken x2.

So the person that steps on to the stage will either be
1. Monaka
2. Future Trunks tying in with Hit using a time manipulation ability.
3. A powerful new villain for the next arc that will steal the Super Dragon Balls and force the others to chase it into another universe or deal with the repercussions of it's wish if it already has the final ball.
4. A victim from another universe that pleads everyone to stop fighting and to help with a new crisis going on elsewhere.
5. One of the Z fighters....zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz
I shared the thought that Universe 7 would lose as it would be a convenient way to get everyone over to Universe 6 but since that clearly isn't happening, we need another plot device to get them there. Options 2-4 would allow for one while the first option would be about seeing if Monaka is a fraud.
Freaking hype for Kaioken blue! Never thought that would come back. It makes me want to skip to episode 39 but I'm thankful that the episode we have to watch first is Vegeta vs. Hit at least as that should be damn entertaining and give Hit his 15 minutes to shine before Goku wrecks him. Hype for the remainder of this arc, hype! I just hope the conclusion definitely leads into the next arc rather than things winding down and lame ass filler-esque episodes until there's a disturbance in the force.

Oh, my mistake. I thought it was a real one. To be fair to them the kids voices were pretty decent.

Or, what if, rather than it being Whis/Vados/Trunks/Gohan/New Character/Monaka, it's... Buu? Angry as fuck from being disqualified, angry that Champa's screaming woke him up, etc. He expels an Evil Buu again or absorbs Champa, Vados, Beerus or Whis to become the "new" villain?

The properly translated version of the interview absolutely might point to Gohan being the character in episode 40. It seems that the "web version, found @ "kanzenshuu dot com/translations/dragon-ball-super-manga-vol-1-tori-toyo-interview-web-version/", had some mistranslations, which lead to the whole Future Trunks thing.
So, uh, yeah. I guess.
Gohan hype. Maybe. Hopefully?
