What ever happened to Bulma being worried about Beerus' intentions? Is that still a thing?

Well there's no reason for it to be a thing right now, since Beerus is just sitting on his ass watching the fights. It'll probably be a thing again once the tournament is over and the Super Dragon Balls are back at the front of the plot.

Using Kaio-ken x10 in Super Saiyan Blue and not obliterating everything you touch seems rather inconsistent. Maybe Super Saiyan Blue isn't @ the level of Super Saiyan Red(True God), but even still, putting a multiplier on anything beyond Super Saiyan 3 just seems rather ridiculous, especially when that multiplier is greater then 2.

SSB is stronger than the red form.

The whole point of Whis' training, and the key to achieving SSJ Blue in the first place and Goku being able to stack Kaioken on top of it, is greater ki control. Goku can control and focus it so that he doesn't accidentally blow up a planet by stepping his foot down too hard or something.

Goku is clearly the superior fighter. Vegeta's battles are usually him overpowering his opponents or getting face stomped. He hardly adapts when he's losing. He just gets face stomped. You can see this in all his battles in DBZ.

Um, I suggest you rewatch his fight with Majin Buu.

First, he tries using blunt force attacks (punches and kicks). Buu's fat blubbery skin just absorbs all of the attacks.

Then, he uses a ki attack which is designed to be fast and penetrative, blasting a giant hole through Buu's torso. Buu just regenerates without any consequences.

He deduces (correctly) that the only way to beat Buu is to destroy every fabric of his being simultaneously, so that there is nothing left to regenerate. And he unleashes his entire lifeforce to do this - it just fails because he wasn't strong enough although it was the right idea.

You win by overpowering your opponent. That's what makes Dragon Ball Dragon Ball, outside of a few instances, with all of those being in tournament settings (Roshi beats Goku because his legs are longer, Tien beats Goku because a truck happens to knock Goku to the ground).

Edit: Also, Goku is beating Hit by overpowering him. He is literally doping and making himself too fast and powerful for TIME MANIPULATION to make a difference.

Bardock? more like Bardoof.

Just watched the episode. When the theme music came on, it was so goddamn exciting 0_0

I wish their fight just ended their, because the next episode looks like it'll be filled with some shenanigans.

So ever since the start of DBS, we knew what we were gonna see for a while: Battle of Gods retread, Return of F retread, and the tournament. Now that the tournament is about to end, I realized we have no real idea about what's gonna happen next.

This is the first time ever while following Dragonball media where I have had absolutely no clue about what to expect next. I am pretty excited haha. Especially after the quality of last episode.

Well, no. We know they're
going on another universe adventure for the Super Dragon Ball
.

Man, what an awesome episode. Kaio-ken + Blue looked beautiful. Got a kick out of Beerus and Champa's reactions yet again. This arc delivered so much. Truly happy with it even though it was mostly the Vegeta and Goku show.

I've watched this episode like 3 times now. Can't get enough of the last scene with Goku using Kaioken. I'm super excited for what's coming next in DBS!
Man, it seriously is amazing to have Dragon Ball entertaining me like it did several years ago. It might sound hyperbolic, but at least for me, no other action anime can reach the excitement Dragon Ball makes me feel.

It's nice that they remembered some of the old power ups but eh, why did they have to specifically say it's x10?

Hit shrugged off the attack anyways so what the hell was the point of saying it was that high? It just makes the fight make zero sense.

Yeah, there was no reason for Toriyama (or the writers) to specifically mention it was a x10 level attack. It makes even less sense if you think about it. Goku specifically said that if he wasn't careful, it could destroy his body (as was always the case with kai-o-ken) but not only does he use it, but decides to immediately jump to x10 on top of that?

EDIT: Oh, and having a clip of Goku vs Vegeta just highlights how awful the new style, quality and depiction of power is in Super. That scene was epic as hell and you could really see that these dudes were powerful as hell. New stuff just looks pretty neutered in general.[/QUOTE]

Yup. This was one of my central complaints with Super (though you could make the same argument for the series as a whole since the Namek saga). Aside from the brief moment against Beerus, nobody in Super seems any stronger than they were in the original Dragonball.

I really do wonder, though, is Hit a legitimate challenge/threat to either Beerus or Champa with what he's displaying right now? We may possibly be fast approaching a time where the Gods of Destruction have to reassert their power.

Beerus seemed more pissed that Goku didn't use Kaioken against him when he wantetd to test his power than afraid or intimidated by it.

They still have a long, LONG way to go.

But he didn't tho ;D

Honestly, filler stuff is just as legit as anything else on this show what with the poor level of consistency that goes around anyways.

In fact the whole thing kind of works as foreshadowing to SS3 since it was only something he could achieve while being dead.

The fact that Gregory exists means that filler is canon to some extent.

I'm interested though.

What are your realistic expectations of what Gohan can add to the story ?

Let's say he gets strong, so what ? We already have Vegeta.

The prospects of Trunks coming back open up for a big "quest".

But what can Gohan bring ? To be mixed with a new universe, that is.

The only thing I can think of, is that Gohan's SCIENCE discovers some sort of space time continuum issue, or some universe merging hole or whatever, that would lead them to go investigate.

But how would Gohan "back in action" push the story forward at this point ?

He is not interested in the big penis contest Goku and Vegeta are having. So I'm not sure why you guys want him to be at the same level.

Gohan is clearly key to whatever is coming. There will be an opponent, or a moment, where Gohan's strength and inner potential will be absolutely necessary. They are telegraphing it from a mile away. Gohan is meant for bigger things than just this universe tournament.

Just like he was telegraphed to be key to the Buu saga. Expect nothing and be pleasantly surprised if AT doesnt troll the shit out of Gohan again.

This. & just finished watching it for the 5th time today before going to sleep.

Sound effects, not music. And I was just experimenting O_o

Sorry, Read it as "Then he added clips of Goku's English voice to see what it would be like:"

It just gets annoying to look for legitimate clips of stuff on youtube and to see nothing overdubs and AMVs, you know?

I like how next week's episode completely ignores the existence of Monaka already lol.

SSBKKx10 was the hypest thing to happen in the series since ever. So good. The double aura looked supercool.

one thing that's sick about the new ep is that my friends who haven't watched db in years are now really interested when I was telling them about the new arc (they saw the movies though)

Stop giving these assholes views.

Sick of seeing the faulconer score amateurishly mixed into every clip I try to find.

take a chill pill

Finally got around to seeing the episode. This was the best episode of Super so far. I felt like a kid again watching it, the episode was straight up like DBZ.
