This whole tournament has been a Goku and Vegeta fest with one episode of Piccolo. Idk, maybe that's why I felt Goku (and Vegeta I should say) has been hogging the spotlight. Looking back through the summaries though i can see that Vegeta actually had more episodes. lol Shame about Monaka though. I was actually looking forward to seeing what they brought to the fight. :/

Goku and Hit's battle was thought to be at its climax but...?
Mutually accepting their strength, Goku and Hit's fight rises to a new height! But, there is a big handicap!! Since Hit works as an assassin, he can't bring forth his true strength unless "killing" is in his mind! It's a tournament where killing is forbidden... and that's when Goku makes a certain proposal.

Beers -> Beers knows Goku is at an disadvantage in a deathmatch. He ferociously opposes a rule change!!

Champa -> Champa approves of Goku's opinion. That's solely for his team's victory.

Goku's the reason a quarrel started
Goku's well aware that, if a deathmatch is authorized, he'll be in a disadvantage. But, the desire to fight with all his power is what moves him.

Goku's like other shonen protagonists who are heroic but only within a limited and narrow bound. Luffy draws a lot from Goku's morality, where Goku will kill himself if it means protecting his friends, really doesn't care all that much about people he doesn't know, but makes friends so easily that "only fight for my friends" lets him be the hero arc after arc.

For instance, Goku would probably have been quite content to let Frieza continue to terrorize the universe as long as he left Earth and Namek alone. Green Lantern, for instance, wouldn't do the same.

Buu can still be beaten up. I remember Gohan doing serious damage to Super Buu. I imagine it would just be that but 1000x worse because Hit is operating at SSB kaioken level lol.

Same way the spirit bomb did I guess? Vaporize him to bits small enough that they can't recollect, rather than not small enough bits like suicide Vegeta.

Curious about Hit against him too though, Hit should be much much stronger if things aren't stupid, but we haven't seen him use any sort of Ki blast yet, have we.

Maybe he doesn't use them at all? In which case it would be hard to atomize Buu. To a knockout, easily Hit most likely, to death, who knows.

Goku's new technique is actually Kage-Bunshin. His shadow still shooting kamehameha but his real self was fighting hit in alternate dimension.
