Episode 42's description says
Monaka couldn't come to the party because of work.


I hope the next tournament is after the end of Z, get Uub and Pan in there.

"Back on Beerus’ planet, Goku still wants to spar with Monaka, and Beerus promises to let him sometime soon, but now it’s time to go home. Beerus secretly pays Monaka off with a huge pile of gold, saying he’ll keep using him to spur Goku on. For now though, Monaka can return to his ordinary job (apparently some sort of delivery man). "
Yeah, so Monaka is sticking around then.
 
Monaka had purple aura so it's probably Beerus in a Monaka costume or Beerus gave him some sort of power. It's probably the former since they're at a party and Beerus would be there and wants to eat.

Krillin does his weird two fingered Taiyoken.

I really liked Monaka casually talking about his job then showing him in uniform at the end of the episode.

Monaka is going for some serious Odd Future vibes in his style in the latest episode preview, is he going to be voice by Tyler The Creator or something? :p

And the way Goku's voice actor delivers the line in response to the the omni king's request of an all universe tournament ,"let's do it, im down" is so casual and hilarious I loved it
 
Loved the ending to this arc. So good. Really well wrapped up with beerus being nice guy, monaka going back to work, new tournament hype

We can only hope. The Bluray's for this arc are coming out a month later in comparison to the blurays for the first two arcs, one can only hope they're doing that to give them self time in case anything needs to be corrected or redone.

Anyways, I bet the next arc doesn't start until July. We know it doesn't start in May and June will have 4 episodes. July will be the start of year 2 and it will also likely be when we get a new OP, they could also use that as the starting point for the next arc. I wonder how many arcs we'll get before the next tournament, hopefully we either get a really long one(25 or more episodes) or at least 2 of the same length as the current Super arcs.

I want a new threatening villain, but it seems difficult considering Whis ,Vados ,the Omni king and Beerus are all goody goofy.
Seems more like Super will be tornament after tournament!
Edit: its different i guess. Im just wondering how (or if)they will introduce a new, powerful villain with all the God like characters on the show.
 
lmao at the dramatic music when Goku went for a handshake, I swear Goku was a second away from punching him in the face when he picked him up.

Super really the nails the humor.

The Omni King likely won't be appearing much at all, unless the tournament starts soon, but I didn't get that impression. And Whis and Beerus easily can be away from Earth too if the next arc starts there.
 
Nice end of Arc. Zeno Samas voice was uh....surprising, but able to wipe out 12 universes in a second.

So if Goku is 7-8 now

Hit must be like an 8

Beerus is 10

Whis is 15

Zeno is what? 1000?

That powerscale was really early on though, back during BOG right?

I feel like Toriyama has retconned that and Beerus/Whis are actually much more powerful than he had us initially believe. I mean Whis compared Goku to a tree while Beerus is a castle. He also said that he has no plans for Goku to surpass them any time soon.

I'd say its more like

Goku: One-Hundred
Beerus: One Thousand
Whis: One-Hundred Thousand
Zeno: Infinite. He's probably omnipotent.
 
I love how Whis and Vados are using the opportunity in front of Zen-O to troll the hell out of their charges, and Zen-O gets in on the act by joking about firing them. It's so refreshing to see the gods of destruction crap themselves continuously.

The Dragon God's entrance had crazy scale, but holy shit was it poorly animated.

It's what Toriyama does best.

Raditz: "I'm your brother, and I'm gonna kill you cuz I'm awesome!"
Nappa: "LOLRaditz. We can grow Raditz."
Vegeta: "I killed Nappa cuz I could."

And so on.

Goku also takes it on the chin multiple times. Roshi, Tien, Piccolo, Raditz, Vegeta, Cell. I'm sure that Zino will get the lower end of the stick sooner or later. He sounds like he's 5.
 
poor Raditz, if only he was in some other shounen manga, the stronger evil brother of the main character would never have gotten killed off that fast

I think they're really close to him in terms of power. I don't mean physical fighting power, but "political" hierarchy if that makes sense?

Probably high up enough they don't need to bow.
 
Beerus is such a big softie! It makes sense though that he would do his bro a solid despite the rivalry they have and like Champa said he's always been like that.
