Dragon Quest: Monster Battle Road Victory announced for Wii

Is there a chance this is a slight of hand trick to get DQX away from the Wii?
Like they could say "Oh, the next DQ game is on Wii, we said it was DQX meaning X=unknown, DQ Battle Road for Wii is exciting and coming soon, but DQ TEN will be for DS/3DS" :lol
It just seems like if DQIX was such a hit, Nintendo and SE might want to keep the next mainline game handheld, or does it not work that way?

Well, its a port of an arcade game tailor made for the japanese public.
You need a Wii + DSi + Cards only sold in japan, a strange combo that im not even close to get.
Meaning it will probably never be released overseas (and you cant blame em), meaning is a game that only 4 people in the west can barely manage to understand

I've seen Japanese business men play it in Yodobashi Camera sometimes. They usually put these machines around the gachapon machines. Thing is, the cabinet is the same height as one of those kid-sized neo-geo machines, and since kids don't play this game -- most elementary school kids don't play dragon quest -- all the players are usually on their knees or squatting when you see them. Looks pretty ridiculous.

So it has character creation, town exploration, talking NPCs (who can be challenged to battles).
It also appears that in addition to the DSi camera scanning app, an application will be available for cell phones to do the same thing. Also, wi-fi battling is totally confirmed now.
