Wonder where could Nintendo squeeze DQ7 in their busy 3DS schedule. September has Yo-Kai Watch 2, october has Disney's Magical World 2 and November has Pokémon. September also has third party games SMT4 Apocalypse and Ace Attorney 6 and Pokémon would eat up anything released in November, so October is perfect.

I don't think they'll announce it tomorrow. I think they're showing off DQ VII footage on the 15th, so that is probably when the release date will be announced. I think it was originally slated for summer, so August makes sense.

Oh man..... I really hope its tomorrow. I am leaving for a two week trip to China and Singapore. I would LOVE to have this with me to play while away. I beat the original but barely remember it.
I know, it's just sad that they're releasing it now that a tremendous amount of DQ games are coming west, leaving us overloaded.

If Nintendo's being smart about giving their tentpole games space and ensuring they have great releases coming out through the rest of the year, yes.

But man, if this releases this month I will have to buy TWO games: DQ VIII and Zero Time Dilemma. Now I just want to think SMT IV will be released in Aug/Sept, to let rest my wallet

I think this friday may be the most opportune time to release it. It's the start of summer and a quick announcement-release while everyone is watching, might be good for top of mind awareness.

Well last I heard the street date was mid-September. But who knows if they've changed their mind... Nintendo likes to march to a beat of a different drum as we all know.

This is the problem with doing such a late localization. Game coulda easily had any of the bone dry 3DS months in 2014/2015 to itself! Now? Its gotta compete with a storm of big new releases.
Hoping pre-September cause with Trails 2 coming I dun need two super long rpgs in one month! August would make me fight with playtime between it and Style Savvy x.x; July release please!

They reworked the beginning for the remake. Now the game introduces you to actual gameplay much faster.
I haven't really kept up with the 3DS remake, but didn't they really cut down on the opening segment of the game? I remember reading the game has been streamlined a lot. I hope it has. I got 50 hours into the PS1 version and just got to where you can change classes and I was so sick of the game I dropped it right there and never went back.
It's a really cool Animal Crossing/Tomodachi Life clone but with Disney characters. It has a lot of potential, first one was an amazing game with tons of content, if Nintendo market it right, it could be a million seller. It really could.

WHere are you guys getting Sept/Oct. from? I really hope that isn't the case. This would be the perfect game to release in June/July. Fall would seem like a bone headed move especially with FF15 right there, it would be like Nintendo setting this game to die.

This is the best thing to happen during E3 for me, and it's not even E3 related (YET). I would love to have this come out this month, somehow. But anytime this summer would be awesome. I own the PSX version of Dragon Warrior VII as well as the Japanese version of DQVII on the 3DS. But just the same I need this. Now.

Aww, that sucks. I liked the way the original began. It was really neat trying to figure out what was going on, and then I was totally blown away when I discovered it.
They've put the labels up well in advance before. Like the Shovel Knight amiibo that was 2 months away.
The main take from this should be that you can get it in a store, and it's already in their system.
Part of it is still there. What's mainly cut is the entire puzzle dungeon.
SMT IV A Has no actual confirmed date yet outside Summer. While that placeholder may end up being pretty close/spot-on, i'm personally just going to wait to assume.
That being said, August is pretty barren for 3DS atm.
