Dragon's Crown for PS Vita - 2D Vanillaware game trademarked by Ignition

Thanks for this thread OP, I was hoping I could post about it in a dedicated thread. Your post was highly informative with the video link.

But Vanillaware is not even on the list of developers for the Vita :X
That's what I thought. So it probably isn't Vanillaware, but it still looks interesting nonetheless.

The hair on the warrior chick is the dead giveaway to me. It's vanillaware.

yea, hard to say if it's really Vanillaware. they have GKH coming out. don't they sorta do one game at a time? i don't think they would actually be able to do two games at the same time. heard they're pretty small devs.

Odin Sphere and GrimGrimoire both came out the same year. A month apart, as a matter of fact.

They're small but they handle their timing efficiently, like I said George Kamitani isn't even working on GKH. Dragon's Crown sounds like his next game.

I'll eat my vitamins if that isn't Vanillaware. The size of the player sprites are amazingly old school awesome. Beat em up rpg mix like capcoms D&D games.

It's Vanillaware. Also George Kamitani worked on the Capcom D&D games so your comparison works well.

Hey, look at that. Looks like I was right. I'm SO getting the game. I <3 VanillaWare.

Now I'm trying to see if there are similarities between the Princess Crown logo and this Dragon Crown one.

I can't believe people think this isn't a Vanillaware game!

Oh also, thanks random mod for the title change.

Nice, the game's been identified. I saw it in the trailer and immediately started thinking, "Shit, gotta find out what that was." Definitely looked like a Vanillaware game. :)

Oh, the highlight of Sony's entire E3 conference. Glad you all saw it. :p

I wasn't sure it was Vanillaware, since they're not on the list of official PSV devs afaik, but I'm willing to bet on it.

Game footage looked sweet, too.

Vanillaware isn't on the list of PS Vita devs, but Marvelous is. I'm sure they'll be publishing it.
I also noticed Kojima Prod. isn't on the list as well.

I'm sure as hell that they are developers.

Now THIS is a Vita game that looks interesting! As a person who loved Muramasa, I look forward to finding out more. :)

Not happy about Ignition. :\

It's really surprising Vita is getting more 2D games than 3DS.
I'm not, I think it was said that it's easier to do the 3D effect with polygons since 2D requires multiple layers to pull it off.
