Are you talking about in town? It seems to load some players but not others, and NPCs only come into view when you get kinda close to them.

Only time I seem to have real connection issues is on the "prayers retreat" stage. On roughly the third engagement in the level, I guess there are too many enemies or something and everything freezes. I can still move around and stuff but I can't hit anything and my friends say that I left the party. It's really annoying because I basically can't do that place on Abyss because of this, and I'm not sure what's causing it.

EDIT: It's weird because I can do Astral Coven fine, and there are a shit ton of spiders everywhere in that stage.

Maybe, but the guild already seems somewhat inactive. Logged in at around 4 PM and 2 AM PDT today and no one was else on or everyone was on their alts.

I'd be up for one though especially after full release if it helps make arranging nest runs or partying easier in the future.

Do F2P MMOs like these get OTs or will this thread suffice?
 
Game starts to pick up alot after level 9 and definitely a blast with friends. I wish finding a PUG was easier...I get denied so many times and having to double click a dozen or so group to find a party that's around my level is tedious.

The best way to do this is to click the dropdown for difficulty level, filter by Abyss, and then pick one where the minimum level is around where you are. People don't really care who joins their group, as long as they get enough. Although at higher levels some people can be picky about their teammates.
 
So I've been lvl 24 for about a day and I'm looking at the reqs for upgraded level 24 stuff and... my god some of the materials you need are super rare. I've come across 1 stretched belt so far playing the game because I'm pretty sure it only drops off one boss, but I'll need 4 just to upgrade my weapon. That's not cool. :(

I'll probably stick with my mostly level 23 stuff and perhaps start an alt for the next day or so. No point in trying so hard to max out when the level cap is likely to be raised fairly soon (hopefully). Enhanced lvl 23 gear (War priest, in my case) is actually pretty good, you mostly miss out on slightly lower base stats + the super rare triggers, but you still get nice HP and MP from enhancing it up to +6 or higher. Not to mention it's dirt cheap to enhance compared to rare stuff!

Now, is it going to be Mystic or Mercenary next? :P
 
Been kinda sitting on my level 24 while leveling my Cleric while I still have PWR. Once it runs out I log.

Can't wait for PVP/nests.

Spiral Knights got one (dunno how the GAF guild on their is going either), so I dont see why one of this quality wouldnt/couldnt.

No idea. The site works sometimes now and they say that they are working on fixing it (so they're clearly doing stuff today) but they haven't updated to say when the work will be done.
 
so i just discovered this game and i am loving it...so everyone is playing on a different server damn! i just go to level 10 with my cleric but i want to be able to play with people so i think ill just start on the GAF server, is there anything the guild needs? i was looking at the healing side of things but i guess it doesnt matter in this game..or maybe it does

also it really sucks that it is down today!

Ahh fck... Just saw this thread and remembered that I installed this. I was going to fire it up and give it a try, then your last sentence says its down : /
 
I'm just going to assume that they'll have everything up at running at 7 AM EDT tomorrow, around the time I have to head to work. Anyway, what server is the GAF guild on? Gerrant?
 
Last I checked, the GAF server was Argenta. I could be wrong though...

Sucks that DN has been down all day today. I bet they didn't announce this downtime so that people saving their Scales till the last minute wouldn't have a chance to spend em.

Scales last day to spend is the 10th. Second newest announcement on their site. Not like anyone should have many left since you should have bought the cheapest beginner pack that comes with bag slots with them.
 
Dangit. I just want to log in so I can get my Scrooge title and do my 3 dungeons.

Also can someone give me guild invite rights or something. Everyone in the guild that has them has basically vanished.

GAF guild is in the Argenta server. As far as rolling for the guild's needs: roll whatever you like.

The servers are getting so slammed right now it's probably not even worth trying to get in. Every time I try I get an unable to connect to the database error.
 
Hmm, "compensation" eh? Maybe they'll cave and give everyone something. I started playing on the second day anyways so I was never in the running for a pair of wings. :P

Not very active right now, but it might be because most players have hit 24 and are on alternate characters or that they left the guild or stopped playing.

The only players in the guild that I can recall as being above recruit rank who can probably recruit people are Halcyon (Haly), Teknopathetic (Varindo) and Costello, though Costello is the only player of the three that I've seen online in awhile.

Don't know if there's going to be an OT.

I'm not terribly familiar with DFO. Personally I find it harder to get into long-running games like that when I come in to them late. Right now is a pretty good time to give Dragon Nest a shot since it doesn't even come out of open beta until tomorrow.

Uuuuuuuuuuugh. Basically they don't want negative PR for not increasing the level cap or releasing PvP "at launch" even though for all other purposes the game has already launched. Stupid.
