Drake is the fakest rapper in the game

Like really, how do you put out a song called "Started From The Bottom" acting like you went through all this poverty and hardship before your career took off when you started out as a semi-successful child actor? It's fake as fuck, the guy was so obviously manufactured by the record label.

At least Rick Ross was interesting.

I don't really want to tell someone else's life story, but from the sounds of it, you've taken one aspect of Drake's past (his part in Degrassi) and used it to explain something you have no knowledge of (his ascent into the music industry).

He's the softest rapper in the game right now.

No matter how hard he tries to act "tough", he just looks silly and non-threatening. I remember that one video where he's decked out in a sweatsuit with black gloves trying to look all tough and shit yet it looked more like he was ready to run around the track.

I think it's funny that he's the one behind the "YOLO" phase considering he's the major rapper who probably follows that philosophy the least.

I thought Drake's whole persona was that he's not a thug and made a hit album without a record deal.

It's not like anyone actually watched Degrassi.

Drake be in them streets and UOENO.

I saw the "Started from the Bottom" video for the first time a few days ago (late night on MTV).

That part when he was dancing next to the car was one of the most ridiculous things that I have ever seen.

Everytime he dances, I think this.

Chick checking out was hot though.

Someone help me out. What does "real" mean?

Real [ree-uhl, reel]
adjective

1.true; not merely ostensible, nominal, or apparent: the real reason for an act.

2.existing or occurring as fact; actual rather than imaginary, ideal, or fictitious: a story taken from real life.

3.being an actual thing; having objective existence; not imaginary: The events you will see in the film are real and not just made up.

4.being actually such; not merely so-called: a real victory.

5.genuine; not counterfeit, artificial, or imitation; authentic: a real antique; a real diamond; real silk.

And is there a reason why someone would consider Drake to be the fakest? I mean boasting and bravado seem to be common in the genre.

In "started from the bottom" where exactly does he claim he went through poverty and hardships before his career took off? Within the 1st 3 bars, he says that he was living with his mom and arguing with her. People really just listen to the chorus and say "he aint come from the gutter! this nigga fake"

Hahaha, no. Just curious why his authenticity seems so much more important than others'.

It isn't really, its always been a theme in the rap industry despite the fact every rapper 'lies' because its storytelling. He is the just the biggest fish in the pond right now so its more visible.

He's feeling the need to be tough which a lot of young men do. But yeah, he's about as threatening as vanilla ice and his crew in cool as ice.

Honestly, I don't care if someone is real or not. Image doesn't matter much to me in music. Drake has some solid tunes, I can enjoy them without thinking about Degrassi or whatever.
