DrDisrespect permanently banned from Twitch [Now Streaming on YouTube]

Whatever it is, it was serious enough that Twitch thought the major loss of income was worth banning him. Ditto for Discord and his management team.

Ask me about my wife's perfect butthole
You'd think if it was something sinister she would have removed Doc from her page or deleted the account. But her Insta is still pretty much all about him and their daughter.
She thanks people for messages of support; I just am not gonna read too much into that.... last anyone heard he was in the dark on what was happening, which is possibly still true.

Its got to be big if it happens to him. Twitch is dumb but can't be that dumb to perm ban one of their most popular streamer without a very solid reason.

Oh come on, you cant ban someone for mentioning watching a David Icke documentary on Netflix. Whats next, permabanned for mentioning Alex Jones?.
If there is any truth to this, then the world is even more lost than i already thought.

I'm not familiar with David Icke at all. I precursory search has him labeled as an anti-Semitic and a Holocaust denier so if there is any truth to that, I can see that being why the ban hammer was dropped.

I dont know about that, but he's known for being a conspiracy theorist. And like Doc said, it was a documentary on Netflix. Would they permaban him for that?, i just cant see it.

Don't think so. Could very well be that he requested it himself just to get out of the picture for a while and come back. Maybe his channel was dying or not doing so well. Streamers tend to do this more often than not.

Makes sense...

David Icke claims many prominent public figures belong to the Babylonian Brotherhood and are propelling humanity toward an Orwellian global fascist state, or New World Order, a post-truth era where freedom of speech is ended.[9][15][21][22] Icke believes that the only way this 'Archontic' influence can be defeated is if people wake up to the truth and fill their hearts with love.[15]

I find it hilarious that social media platforms will distance themselves from users they find offensive.

Considering the amount of shit that goes on from any of the millions of users, vulgar comments by other users, and left wing skewed employees filtering content like it's Chinese government, you'd think the average social media platform would embrace junky content and not care.

Everyone has seen or read trashy content on Facebook, Twitter, YT, Twitch etc...... and how many of you were so disgusted you actually made it a principle never to visit those sites again making their traffic and revenue drop?

None of you?

It sounds like we all should be watching David Icke

Don't forget he got "banned" around this time last year for the bathroom incident at E3. Hopefully it's just a publicity stunt to keep his name out there while he goes on vacation, appears in a movie, whatever. If he is gone from Twitch permanently, I doubt he'll have a problem getting a contract with Youtube. It would be sickening though if Alinity had something to do with this. People like her taking advantage of the "sueyourexlover" movement adds yet another needless thing to this crapfest of a year fulled to the brim with propaganda.

How are you okay with that though? How are you okay with the monopoly that Twitch has right now? The internet is supposed to be the new public forum. You shouldn’t be cancelled from any platform without extreme justification.
I mean, it’s a private company right? They didn’t break any rules. They just enforced their own guidelines. He can just go to a different platform.

The two time 2019, 2020 back to back twitch banned champion?

People need to stop believing everything some random person posts on the internet like it's the gospel and running with it, keep your head from having a brain fart and just wait for official news, Twitch can't say anything till legal have their way, that's how business works.

What I can't decide is if docs dislikeable on screen character is a result of his actual personality, or if him playing such a dislikeable character for so long has warped his personality to match.

The last big streamer got perman banned by twitch I could recall is Method Josh, with around 1000~2000subs, not as big as Dr. He has been gone all of sudden for nearly 1-2 years and never speak of the reason on his social media. Now it revealed that Josh groomed teenage girls and potentially involved raping other streamers.(There is even police investigation/reported involved)
I believe Twitch must have very serious reasons to issue perma ban to their largest/most popular streamer. The awkward and day-long silence of Dr Disrespect also implies that situation is more complicated and serious than simply "DMCA strikes"/"contract switch".

I have a friend of a friend who heard from a friend on the internet that heard from someone they've never met who heard on passing on the street that doc sent lewd images to the queen of England.

And imagine if accusation/proof comes from a underage, it would be a major PR disaster and biggest scandal for Twitch,
The way Twitch are trying to erase his existence does make you think its something like that, but then the tweet from his wife doesnt sound like something you would do if it was something like this.

darkinstinct

...lacks reading comprehension.
There's not much that results in such strict action by all the parties, with rape allegations they typically wait until proven guilty. This swift reaction points to something like possession of child porn.

Mountains of salt but
Oh wow *IF* true....

Nobody is saying a word but this guy just casually spills the beans over a game of Counter Strike?

I have a long-standing theory that YouTube and Twitch cycle through talent every so often, de-emphasizing creators that have been successful for a number of years in favor of promoting new talent. Think about how television works. Even the most popular series get canned eventually. The audience becomes bored and viewership drops. In order to get eyeballs back, networks end production of the series and fill the time slot with something new.

I think YouTube and Twitch do something similar. A content creator will get a ton of subs and millions of views and ride that wave for a few years. Then all of a sudden it seems like their popularity falls off. I think these platforms shadow cancel creators every so often to keep things fresh.

No one is going to watch these guys forever. I'm just wondering if he handed Twitch pretextual excuse. I'm not saying Twitch was out to cancel him outright. What I am saying is that Twitch would be foolish to think that any of their content creators are going to maintain their popularity for forever.

I feel like you're probably right about that to some degree, but i don't think this is whats happening here. I don't think he was losing popularity where they would actively stop that income and viewer count that he brought in every single stream. It's either something really stupid like a copyright issue or at worst, a sexual assault claim against him. The fact that he's being real quiet is worrying though.

I just don't see a situation where Twitch legal team are out in front of any sort of actual police investigations

He's not been arrested prior to this statement right
I doubt Twitch would sever one of their highest earners over an unproven allegation either

So it's either something internal and specific relating to the company or contract I think

Absolutely wild....to just come out of nowhere is some crazy ass shit.

Going to be fascinating watching what’s to come from this. I enjoyed watching his streams as he’s a good gamer and some of things he says are pretty funny.
