Do you honestly believe they made her hair red after seeing the Brave trailer or something? I mean feature animation usually takes 4-5 years to produce.

It's a crime they didn't stick with this art style.

I'd have watched this
and complained about the giant head on that Sabertooth
The rest is unpleasing to my eye.

Do the people who think this is a Brave knockoff think that Brave is just How to Train Your Dragon with red hair?

Because that makes as much sense.

Most definitely, there's a great sense of adventure here and Sanders has me pumped. Plus, this is just a teaser. Expect a full-length one in a few months.

edit: great minds! ha.
If it wasn't for Sanders, I wouldn't be as excited for this.

Edit: Oh dear, the director of Space Chimps is co-directing and co-writing this.
The sense of actual adventure after breaking out of one's confines. I don't see them returning to the cave over and over for some plodding hijinks involving hiding a Sabretooth tiger. That whole Bear plot was so thin and so, so boring.
While I would have preferred Brave to have been an adventure film, I'm okay with what it ended up being as flawed as it is.

The voice syncing must be off or something, because the character Nic Cage is playing just doesn't seem like Nic playing a character so it's really jarring.

Still better than the generic Dreamworks styled designs they went with for the final production. I am so tired of CGI animated films, when will see see some hand drawn animated stuff again?

You can see hand drawn stuff in Dreamworks' Kung Fu Panda 2 or their upcoming Me and My Shadow.

Dreamworks doing what Pixaren't.

Lots of mediocre films? :P

You seem to have missed my joke there, Femmeworth.

No matter, I'm always happy to explain. See, I took the word "aren't" (read: are not) and used it conjunctively with the animation studio that hasn't been put out a good flick since WALL-E. By suggesting that rival animation house Dreamworks was engaging in practices diametrically opposed to Pixar, it follows that they are currently dedicated to releasing more rewarding and entertaining films.

I hope this has helped and good luck with your future endeavors.

Also Wall-E wasn't that good outside of the visuals, which would still put it higher than most of Dreamworks' output.

The character designs and almost all the casting choices are UGH.

But I loved How to Train Your Dragon, so I'm giving this a chance to be an amazing movie with a trailer designed to make it look like some vastly inferior movie.

I agree that WALL-E wasn't that good, but I knew many would argue it was. Ratatouille was Pixar's last great film.
We can agree on that.
They're probably trying to pitch inner beauty or some shit.
Eh? The trailer doesn't give any indication that it is going to go in that direction.
What was wrong with Toy Story 3?
I need to rewatch it, but I thought it was weaker than the first two at least in terms of narrative.

The first thing I thought of was how the dad looked like Ken Hamm (The creationist museum owner)

Then when he was telling the story of the bear who had curiosity, saw something new, then died, I laughed.

I'm sure that wasn't intended though.

Americans hate hand drawn. Somehow it's "kiddy" despite CG being "for everyone" even if everything else is the same...
