That is not necessarily true. I know quite a few people who are working jobs for which they are very overqualified.
Also, do you know what'd would happen if everyone became a millionaire? Zimbabwe learned the answer the hardest way. In an economy with finite money where wealth, like energy can only be transferred. Therefore, for someone to be wealthy certain others must remain poor. So, this heiress' statement is inherently flawed. People who want to be rich must keep other people poor.
That's why the middle class earning families that depict moderation of economic distribution are disappearing. As people become richer (most of them), they not only want to stay rich but want make even more. Add in the demand for tax cuts and the classic hoarding mentality is exposed. All this comes at the expense of other people at the comparatively lower income brackets.

What does "work harder" mean? Every time someone uses it I have to assume they mean "work smarter" because I know plenty of poor working people who certainly work very hard in terms of effort expended.

I mean to such a degree, that any attempt to socialize would be in vain. So ugly, that I would never be properly accepted anywhere. People would ask me to move out of the frame when taking pictures.
Shunned by society for my horrible looks, I'm sure I would turn against those who judged me and become a career criminal, darkening my heart to match my horrid looks.

Looking how much CEO's (some of them are complete sociopaths) of some of the top corporations make (esp. financial institutions) it's all about working hard, followed by working smart (delegating responsibilities) and finally being resourceful and deceitful for maximising profits for amoral person aka corporation.
Why does that make any difference?
If making fun of a member's appearance is forbidden, due to it being cruel and unfair, why is it okay to do the same thing to someone who isn't a GAF member?

Going for her outer ugliness is lazy. Her inner ugliness is vast, use that.
It matters because the key feature of "making fun of the way Devo looks" isn't making fun of someone's looks, it's attacking a member.
If I were to call you stupid or some such, that would presumably be looked on as worse than if I called, say, Rush Limbaugh stupid.
I have nothing against the virtues of hard work, because hard work leads to great and fulfilling things, but such virtues have been hijacked by people like her to benefit themselves at the expense of others. As a society we should be looking for ways to make people work less and have a higher quality of life, not work them longer for less money in order to grind them to an early grave.

There is a difference. One is out of your control and one is. Obesity is unhealthy and to some people unsightly. However, we don't know if there are medical conditions attached to a person's obesity. Besides the fat, as aforementioned, the facial features are out of a person's control (unless talking about surgery which is taking to it another level).
It's like making fun of someone for being short, blind, deaf other physical characteristics. It is different from being called an asshole for the opinions one may hold while living in a bubble of ignorance.
