I don't get that much different when I'm drunk either, so I appreciate a guy who doesn't play it up. When you're 17 and getting drunk for the first time it's expected that you will act out after the first sip, but when people are in their 20s/30s still pretending to be crazy from drinking it's pathetic.

I think they think it makes them sound smart, but when you realize they're quoting nobody but themselves when they put quotations around the word, they just look kind of silly.
