I've been suffering from crazy excessive sweating for many years now, and I had tried literally everything. I tried an OTC anti perspirant called Certain Dri last year, and I literally felt the skin underneath my arm burn after application. I could not sleep as it did not go away, and I ended up rinsing it all off and never trying it again.

Over the years I have tried everything they sell at the store that claims to help with excessive sweating, and none of them worked. I saw a new doctor on Tuesday and brought up that I think I might have hyperhidrosis. I showed him how much sweat had accumulated just in the time I had been there. I walked out with a Drysol prescription and picked it up. I tried it for the first time last night. You have to apply it before bed and then shower in the morning. It burned a bit, but was nowhere near as bad as my last experience with Certain Dri, and after about an hour or so of laying in bed, I fell asleep finally.

I woke up this morning, took a shower, did my normal morning routine and got dressed. I had a class at 1:30pm today, and I put a shirt on around 9AM. Usually, I will go through multiple shirts a day because of sweat. My armpits have not been wet whatsoever today. I am really excited about this stuff as a result.

Being constantly sweaty and having sweat stains under your shirt all the time is the worst feeling in the world. It makes it so difficult to go out in public, go to class, etc, and makes you anxious as fuck. If this ends up working out long term, it will be like a huge weight has been lifted off my shoulders.

tl;dr sweating all the time makes you feel bad, but magical anti perspirant can fix that.

Do they make that shit for ur entire body? I sweat insane amounts all over my body not really armpits

inb4 yea it's called working out u outta shape fuck

This!

I don't sweat under my arms much at all mostly my head and chest area. When I do any working out or form of semi extraneous work it'll look like I had a pitcher of water dumped down the front of my shirt within no time.

Is this a condition or are you in bad shape OP ?

I'm glad you found something that works for you OP. I need to talk about it to a friend of mine who is constantly sweating even though he's skinny.

I also had this same sweating problem and was in great shape at the time. Lean with so. E decent muscle on me.

OP, I agree that drysol is amazing. I also would sweat like mad from my pits for no apparent reason. Sitting at my desk In a cold room I could feel the sweat drip off. I have been using it for maybe 1.5 years now and only have to apply it every couple months or so which is great. Still using the original bottle I bought way back then.

You mentioned a prescription for it. I'm in Canada and the drysol I bought was sold along with all the regular antiperspirant. $20 a bottle but worth it.

Just made it lol

I don't think I have hyperhydrosis but I do sweat excessively and use the "Rx strength" deodorants, which seem to work (I'm 40% aluminum!) so I feel ya OP, glad it's working.

Do they make it for your butt
You don't shave your butt, do you?

How are them wet farts?

NeoGAF: Shaving your ass is not really a good idea

Long story short, was doing some prep work to be tidy for a colonoscopy..

Farts are MUCH louder, silent ones are completely audible and even explosive in tone sometimes..

Your cheeks are like two hands clapping together man.

Don't shave your ass and let one rip when trying to be discrete, you'll be discovered on the spot.

OP: If you're a teen, that shit tends to pass. In high school I could not wear light color shirts because if i lifted my arms I'd have huge pit stains. I used certain dri like senior year of high school up until mid college.

I now only use regular anti perspirants and honestly now I sweat a normal amount in my pits. I'm glad it's not overbearing anymore.

I'm glad you found it OP. I was in the same situation and it was like hell, I work in a suit and in 6 month I ruined 3 black suits and had to buy new white shirts every two month or so, and of course I was really anxious at work because of this. A coworker told me about Etiaxil, it's the same thing but with an other name (I'm in EU), it's really life changing.

Totally I remember Goin for a job interview wearing a suit jacket. Sweated through my white t-shirt, my dress shirt and my suit jacket is about 30 minutes.

Can someone give me the volatility rate of aluminum chloride in solution?

Do they make it for your butt
Yes it's called Drysol. Why would your butt or any other part of your body necessitate a different anti-sweating compound?

I need something for my head, face, and neck. It's damn hot in FL, but when I look around and I'm the only guy in the room with a sweaty face, it makes me anxious and I start sweating even more

Drysol can be used pretty much everywhere, but there is some discomfort and irritation after application, so I would be careful about putting it certain places.
But there are instructions on the box for feet and palms as well.
As for being in shape, I'm in the best shape of my life overall. This has been an issue with palms and pits since middle school for me, I am now in my 20s. I also only sweat profusely in certain areas

I too use drysol and from my experience which may be related or may be natural, but I find myself not needing it as often. Especially in the winter.

But my shirts were ALWAYS sweat stained no matter the season or activity (or lack thereof).

There have been times I cheated and put it on while my armpits were still a bit damp after a shower and it burns. But that dry feeling at first was such a life changer. My arms were free to rise without embarrassment. I've forgotten about the "before" until seeing this thread. Glad to know it's helping you.

I want something that makes my hands sweat less. :(

It's embarrassing to always have sweaty hands.

This!

Actually they do. The directions in the package have steps for hands, feet etc but I'm not sure if it's a different formula or applicator attachment that makes it different. My underarm attachment is like a padded, fabric tip that soaks as you dab it (clicking in the release valve) under your arm.

Two words for people who get sweat stains a lot: golf shirts. Seriously the fabric they use makes sweat invisible and they dry super quick.

i have some dryfit shirts from nike, and they don't show any stains. it is nice, but it really fucking sucks to not be able to wear a nice dress shirt or even just a solid color tshirt out and about because of sweat.

As for application, I didn't apply any last night. My doctor said to try doing it every 3-4 days and see how that works, and then over time I will need it less and less as you guys are indicating. Hoping I make it through the weekend and I'll reapply Sunday night.

I have had this issue for years now, decided to go see a dermatologist and he prescribed me Ditropan XL which is actually a medication that is used for bladder problems I believe, but they use the side effect of this med to treat sweating. Sort of baffled me that they do stuff like this but let me tell you, I've been dry ever since. It's a great feeling.

So if I coat my body in this and go for a run how quickly will I die of heat exhaustion?

not sure, but that is why you only apply to the areas where it effects you. i have really sweaty palms and my face gets really sweaty, but i don't apply there because that is easy to manage with a towel

I've always been a heavy sweater, genetically whole family has issues with it, started hysociamine recently for IBS issues and one of its side effects is reduced sweat, I can really tell the difference on my sweat production. If you still have issues you should ask your doctor about it.

As a fellow heavy-armpit-sweater, here's a tip that most deodorant/anti-perspirants put on the stick, yet most people seem to ignore:

Apply at night.

Ideally you'd be showering in the evening and applying deodorant/antiperspirant on your freshly washed (and dried!) pits. Typically, you don't move too much at night nor put on tight fitting clothing, so you're less likely to start perspirating. Thus the antiperspirant gets to settle in and really clog them pores as designed.

In the mornings I sometimes rinse off and roll on a light layer of antiperspirant, additionally. It seems to help a ton, though, to apply at night!

I had crazy sweating in my hands and feet. Found out that I had hyperdrosis and started using drysol stuff from my doctor. It didn't work so well, so I ended up getting surgery to snip some nerves under my armpits and now my hands don't sweat, but my feet and back do, but not like super bad.

my back sweats a lot. any tips on reducing that? how do you apply powder to your back without the help of someone? ><

I used to have the most ridiculous pit sweat from like 18 to 22 and then it just stopped...

I'm 31 now. Last year I went like a month w/o using any kind of deodorant. As long as I just washed in the shower I had no problems. I just use a deodorant with no anti-perspirant now and it's fine. Not sure why it went away... I think I just had a lot of stress and anxiety in college.

I kinda have a sweat problem too.

I lived in Europe growing up and it gets cold over there. My body got used to it.

I come back to the states at 18 and I've been sweating ever since. I'm 29 now and live in SC (gets hot as fuck here). When I first got here, I was sweating profusely (I was in shape too, ran a 10.8 for the 100 meters). Then when people put the A/C on for me, I got sick. I was sick for over a month because my body was hot, then cold and the A/C had me shivering.

Now, I'm used to the A/C, but I still sweat a lot. Forehead, armpits, and everywhere else. I may try this.

I looked into the surgery but I was afraid of some of the side effects I had read about. My hands sweat a lot. I tried the drionic, and it did work, but was painful. I also tried botox on my hands, and it was more effective. The problem though that my insurance didn't cover the entire cost and it ended up being expensive. I still have it but it's not as bad anymore and my wife doesn't seem to mind it, which was something that I worried a lot when I was single.

I have hyperhidrosis for my hands and feet and I got a glycopyrrolate prescription that's worked wonders. It just kind of dries you out a bit so you can feel a little thirsty but otherwise it's great. I just take 1mg a night before I go to bed

I'm like others and am convinced I have hyperhydrosis in the face, chest and back. It can be just barely above 75 outside and I'll be sweating under my pecs and on my back profusely. It really makes me want to not go out at all during the summer. I'd love something in a body wash format.

Yes this is the worst!

"Oh shit, I'm sweating too much"

I've only had them for a day, but Secure Wipes are the truth. Wiped my face before I went to bed, and the next day was heaven. Step outside when the temp was over 80 and I didn't break into a heavy face sweat. Got in my hot-as-hell car; no sweat. Riding my bike and coming home; no continuous non-stop sweat for half an hour because your face just doesn't know when to shut off the waterworks. And this was just ONE DAY.

I wish I had this stuff long ago. I wish they sold it over the counter instead of relying on a prescription for it (which is why I ordered from pharmacy.ca). These wipes are a Game Changer. I mean... being able to walk downtown on a nice sunny day and then go into a restaurant and just... relax... instead of going in and wiping your face with napkin after napkin after napkin after... there was a renaissance faire near Atlanta a few weeks ago and I went to it to hang out but my face decided to go as Aquaman the entire time, and can you really enjoy anything if you are always dripping and splashing from your face?

Marco Rubio... I know his pain well, and I'll bet he wished he had these Secure Wipes. They're that damn good.

...I'm going to eat outside tomorrow.
