Real Soccer 2009
This is a soccer simulation game in which players can select soccer teams (e.g., national, club, and "legendary' teams"), customize stadium venues, create and run plays, and compete in exhibition matches and championship cups. One mode of play allows players to be the coach, while a training mode assists players in improving their skills through penalty kicks.

American Popstar Road To Celebrity
This is a social simulation game in which players follow the storyline of a young girl who aspires to become a pop star. Players can engage in a mixture of musical challenges (e.g., dance battles and playing guitar), social objectives (e.g., developing a friendship or scaring a rival), and even maintenance of health and hygiene. During the course of the game, players will need to guide their characters into bathrooms in order to relieve themselves, which is depicted by a toilet paper icon and an opaque star covering the character.

Not out in the US, but decode is great, although its called code here >.<

Warioware is fun, but more of a tech demo, and fun with other people for the first time. Sucks that you cant save the montages though as I said. But for free its worth it.

i bought the paper plane game from the PAL DSi Store. Pretty boring. It doesn't even make use of the stylus control.

I love Paper Planes :o
The Time Attack Mode is really addictive and for 200 Points it`s a good value. Nice Pick up n Play. I also downloaded Pyro , i like the idea behind it but the game is kinda hard, even breaking the first highscore of 10K is really difficult :-/ but also for 200 points it`s okay.

also downloaded wario ware, there isn`t much content there but it`s a nice demo for the dsi camera and something nice to show new people, the videos at the ende are funny as hell ( lol@iwata) - really sucks that you cant save them on a sd card or dsi memory :-/

I'll download Decode tommorow - we need to support those art style games :D

If this thread is meant to be the official one, please add the European store as well.

I bought all of the launch games:

Wario Ware: great fun with friends. Nearly no replay value :( - YAY

Aquite: great game to play for some minutes in a break or something. - YAY

(De)Code: great game as well, especially the puzzle mode. I don't like that there's no lefty option :( - YAY

Pyoro: addictive but really hard. My best was 8800 so far :( Sad they did not include the Stylus Pyoro that was included in WarioWare Touch IIRC. -YAY

Paper Plane: damn, I hate this game, can't stop if I startet once :D - YAY

Next I want the Daily Picross as Download option with dowloadable new puzzles for every day or something. But the normal Daily Picross mode of Picross DS with his 5 game types would be really cool as well.

Only did Wario Ware Snapped. I hated it. I tried it a few times to see if it would grow on me, but I found it unresponsive and very cumbersome to play. Not a real WW game and certainly not worth the 500 points it costs. You'll be done with in withing 5 minutes too. The vids at the end are pretty hilarious I admit, but there's just way too little content.

So that would be a NAY for me.

The browser sucks as well, but that's free.

For those who found Snapped unresponsive, find the right spot in the room maybe with a white wall behind you. I thought it was broken, but then I tried it a second time sitting somewhere else and BANG... it is very funny. Super short :( but funny... it gets a YAY from me

Really surprised that Paper Plane wasn't released in the US.
Didn't know what to make of it, but I decided to give it a try and I love it.

Couldn't be more simplistic, but it's also very challenging, which I like, not to mention addictive as hell. :D

Hopefully we'll get to see more of these Game&Watch type of games on the system for 200 points as they seem to click with me.
I'd love to finally see a complete G&W collection getting released on the DS as well, common Nintendo, the system is perfect for it!

Haven't downloaded Pyoro yet as I want to keep it as something to look forward to in case we don't get any new games next week.
Looks right up my alley as well.

Code is pretty good, but WarioWare is terrible, no replay value at all (No highscores like in every other WarioWare).

I wish Jump Forever and Skating Board from the original WarioWare were DSiWare instead, I like those more than Paper Plane and Pyoro. Both are still good though.

Quick question

How much is Code and Paper Planes? I want to add them, but I'm not sure what price they should be under.

YAY/NAY without any real middle of the road designation is kind of limiting

So far I have Warioware Snapped. Finding a place to play it can be a little tough, I'm fair-skinned so it whines if there's a cream/beige wall behind me.

You have all the WW regulars as options on the screen, with a different lot of Mini Games for each one. its a bit like Smooth Moves in that respect, but without any real explaination of each type of movement, but its simple enough to get.

You get a total of about 5 minigames including a boss and at the end if you win you get a montage of video (at a small frame rate) showing yourself in action, which is pretty funny (though some may feel a bit self-concious seeing this: depends how well you deal with seeing yourself on camera). The clips then play on top screen when you go back to the main menu

Its fun but its VERY short: You might get more replayablity out of it sharing with friends and all. I dont know if completing all the games gets you anything or not (anyone know?) but it's designed as a very quick game thats more novelty than serious (though this is pretty much Warioware in general)

I didn't know how else to say if its worth it out not in a short line.

WarioWare should have been included with the system. It's just a simple way to show off the camera function to other people with a funny payoff at the end. It probably would have sold others on the system.

But giving away 1000 points and not much else to buy with them is an alternative, I guess.

I marked down Warioware as a Nay. I don't feel it's worth 5 dollars and someone might check this thread in December when they won't get any free points.

Art Style: Decode

Its a yay from me. Once you undestood it its actually really fun! But still its kinda hard but like i said great game. Propably the best of all online

Paper Plane

I think i'll just get the browser and hold onto my points.

Shouldnt you yay or nay it based on the DS itself?

I recommend The memo program.

I also recommend Warioware (just for shits and giggles) and Aquarius (but I don't know if that's out in America).

it's "YEA," for the record.

I'm going to go ahead and just say Quay. Which hilariously is pronounced "key."

Whatever.

browser - yea, but only because it's free. it's slooooow.
warioware - nay, too short and doesn't work that well at all.
brain age - yea - my favorite so far.

we don't need to do yay or nay..does anyone think maybe we should do buy / skip?

either wea

(kidding)

seriously, though, good idea for a thread man. hope to pick up a dsi in the next few weeks and i'll need to reference this.

Paper Plane: Yay
Hacolife: Yay
PiCOPiCT: Yay
Aquario: Yay
nalaku: Yay

Wario Snapped: Nay (but for the WarioWare completist, Yay)

DSi Browser : YAY
Bird & Beans : YAY
Paper Plane : YAY x YAY
WarioWare Snapped! : NAY (It's brilliant, but it's just a big joke and once you've done it, it's only good to show your friends when they've never seen it).

EVERYONE should buy Mr. Driller DSi when it gets its US release. And PicoPict. And Nalaku.

And I can not *wait* to see the US version of moving memo and all the ridiculous animations uploaded by The Rest Of The World.

I am hoping for tomorrow in America! :)

I expect they'll count the five launch titles as this week's update for the DSi...so it'll probably be a week before we see anything else.

I hope the other Art Style games come fairly quickly. I really want PicoPict and Nalaku, and if it takes them too long to release I'll be tempted to spend my free 1000 points on something else (though I might get Aquia since I did find it pretty fun when I tried it).

Reggie said in an interview that we'll see third party titles about six weeks after launch. He also said it'll get updated with new titles weekly.

EDIT Also..if anyone rates a game that isn't on the list yet..can you list the price for me? thanks!

Brain Age games are still sellin in europe i guess we`ll get the dsiware version in 2 years :lol

I added some new coming soon games. American Popstar sounds like a mix between Rock Band and The Sims.

Real Soccer 2009
This is a social simulation game in which players follow the storyline of a young girl who aspires to become a pop star. Players can engage in a mixture of musical challenges (e.g., dance battles and playing guitar), social objectives (e.g., developing a friendship or scaring a rival), and even maintenance of health and hygiene. During the course of the game, players will need to guide their characters into bathrooms in order to relieve themselves, which is depicted by a toilet paper icon and an opaque star covering the character.

DSi Browser : YAY
Bird & Beans : YAY
Brain Age : YAY
WarioWare Snapped! : YAY

The WW game and Brain Age game is awesome, I just hope we get a full WW dsi soon.

I've only tried WarioWare so far, but it gets a YAY from me.

Not related to this thread, but Rhythm Heaven gets a HELL YAY

Does anyone have any suggestions for the layout of the OP? I am waiting for Nintendo to release the Icons for the DSiWare games on Nintendo.com.
