It does, motherfuckers! Bow down and buy this shit right now! A ton of fun. The only thing that could've done better is made the loop-de-loop physics slightly more interesting. Still, a fantastic game!

Congrats to NST on making their first good game!

Anybody else in love with this game? What an easy but fun concept.

Masamichi Abe formerly of EAD directed this. He worked on 1080 Snowboarding and Pimin while he was at EAD. At NST he directed Metroid Prime Hunters and Aura-Aura Climber.

Is this a real game or a two minute demo like pretty much every other cheap DSiWare game?
It's a great game. It's one of those games that you can judge someone's mental sanity by asking whether they like it or not.

Mario vs DK series. I doubt this game is better, but I don't have a DSi to check, so eh.
There are are licensed Barbie games that are better than Mario vs. DK.

how many points is it?

I've got 500

You can buy it 2½ times.

But yeah, this is one of my top DSi games too.

This is one of those great games from small teams. One director, one designer, three programmers, two art-types and a musician.

I wish Nintendo would promote games like this more. I mean, just even let people know it exists.

Gameplay descriptions? Goal of the game? Videos?

Can't really tell anything from those screens.

edit: yeah, I didn't even know this existed. And it's made by Nintendo? Unthinkable for Sony or Microsoft games.

Yeah, DSiWare has a few cool titles like this. See also; Reflect Missile/Trajectile, Starship Patrol, the seven Art Styles, Spotto/Birds & Bombs and Wakugumi.

Looking forward to Climber's EU release!...soon? :(

Aura-Aura wants to become a star in the sky.

You start from a crater and go upward by using his grapple arm to grab static moons, moving moons, launchers, sets of trigger points, etc. and avoid about a half-dozen different kinds of enemies.

On the way up you can upgrade the reach of your grapple arm, get bombs, get health pickups (three hits and you're down), stuff like that. One of my favorite moves is bungeeing off a point—jump into space and start falling faster and faster, then grab a point on the way down. The faster you were going, the higher you'll slingshot back up, and you'll get more points for it.

All with the d-pad and one button.

There's 10 score attack levels that you can just clear if you're not into scores, a marathon mode for all 10 in one go, an endless mode (how high can you climb), and, what, about 30 or 40 medals for doing all sorts of stuff.

so as far as i can tell this game isn't on the japanese store, right? at least, i can't see anything with a similar name in the 200 point section.

i think that mario/donkey kong thing took a while to come here, though, so i'm sure it'll be along soon enough. i am all about 200 point DSi games.

I don't at all mind having paid 200, but I would have happily paid 500 for this one. It's worth even more than that to me now.
