Mario Party is still a great multiplayer game and Shadow the Hedgehog is not a good game in ANY way. How do you not understand that?

Why would I need to understand and believe that? That's your opinion. A lot of people apparently get enjoyment out of Shadow, too. It's still a totally effortless game that's squeezed out of its company's anus once a year to rake in some cheap dough on a stale engine with crappy graphics.

Look at the top 10 selling games for DS and PSP.

I really don't see much crossover between the two portables. This is why I say they really aren't directly competing with one another directly. Are they competing because they are both portable systems? Yes. But someone who wants to play GTA, Socom, Madden, on the go isn't going to be picking up Animal Crossing and Nintendogs. And vice versa.

I have all of those games except Madden.

And anyway, wasn't it recently revealed that Ancel was working on pre-production for Beyond Good and Evil 2 when Peter Jackson asked him to do Kong? And on that game show, didn't the Ubisoft rep say Ancel is allowed to work on whatever he likes, and when asked what that was he said "BG&E2"? I think we'll get a sequel to that game eventually. Next-gen too, even. With more push by Ubisoft, perhaps.

Okay, so I'm a big studpidhead.
And I would do terrible things to make another BG&E a reality.
But BG&E, and lots of other great games do get lost in the shuffle every year when the companies decide to release all their big guns simultaniously at the end of the year. Had it came out only three months later or earlier, I'd bet it wouldn't have hit the bargin bin within a month like it did competing against annual EA installments, True Crime, Manhunt, and whatever big titles were coming out in that timeframe. Heck, Ubi Soft put BG&E, XIII, and Prince of Persia, which up to their release were all pretty high profile titles, out within the same month of each other! Who shots thier entire wad in one month and expects them to all do well, its insanity.

Yeah, so? Don't think Halo or GTA are guaranteed their current successes next time around. Mario 64 sold 11 million, but it's sequel only got 5 (course, I still believe this is due to other factors, like the game's quality).
