Dungeon Fighter Online is back! New characters Dark Knight and Creator available!

So I asked the players not to use bots and our expectation was that the bots would disappear if there were no demands.

Uh.


So I can't sell my level 15 pink for 500k anymore? and buying is not a problem since i generally dont care until level 50.

Also it might be weird but can't bots easily grind toward 50 quickly? I heard they're able to burn all their FP within a matter of minutes and it has been observed just by standing in areas that aren't expected to be populated (ex. Ch. Silver Crown, at Castaway Dungeon)

Beside, what's the next lowest cost/easy to find item next on the market? They'll just put that on AH.
 
Okay fuck it, I'm done with the game until something "gets fixed". A lot of friends are leaving this game in droves right now, good god.
Some possible solutions to slow down the flow of goldsellers that isn't this crap:
- captcha account creation
- cellphone verification
- captcha character creation
- captcha item postings on AH

Just strict account and character creation in general would do wonders. What neople is doing has nothing to do with the amount of bot accounts that are being CREATED.

This is inconvenient for things like Old City Legacy, Behemoth Scale Fragments, and a few other things required for epic/feat quests before level 50 that typically don't drop often enough to finish the quests unless you solo everything (and even then maybe not), but otherwise I don't really see a big problem with these limitations. Make some friends, join a guild, trade items. You don't really need to buy equipment from 1-50 (game throws so many purples at you) and although tau kingdom won't last forever, right now the game barfs awakening items at you.

On the other hand, I'm sure getting to 50 wouldn't be difficult for bots, so this might slow them down but won't stop them. Then again, if they are making most of their money from selling materials rather than equipment, this will hurt them.

Yeah, IIRC you had to do it (once per login) to unequip items or open your safe. I don't think it had anything to do with the AH? It was a way to protect your account if you got hacked (like a PIN) so the hacker couldn't gut your account.

Yeah, it sucks, but it's not going to stop me from playing.

I like the game for it's combat, not the amount of gold I can accumulate.
 
I don't really care about all this but i'm also not really invested in this game's economy.
As long as Neople at least tries to combat botting I can't be mad. It's always better than them doing absolutely nothing.
 
So level up challenge...I picked level 70 for my character and I'm at level 59 @ 50% currently. Is it going to be possible to get to 70 by next week?

If you do all the towers every day it shouldn't be a problem. (and remember that Altar of Infinity resets on level up)

50-63 took me a week or more, 63-70 took me about 3 days. It all speeds up a lot once you unlock Showdown at Mount Hardt.
 
Goblin pad didn't help, locking items did.

My problem with the AH being tampered with is that it doesn't fix bot account creation at all. Even if AH reopens on weekends the amount of bots that will still exist is just :/

Also, ALL profession materials and materials in general are unable to be traded period. Great. Great thanks. Now I have to either create an enchanter to get anything done. At least add a hard gold cap on profession items, good lord.
Grinding for materials by expending more fp is annoying. 50 behemoth scale fragments and 20 legacies were beyond annoying to get.
At least adjust drop rates for materials in dungeons to be higher so that we don't have to go through as many hoops.


Some friends were already in Dnf and we're willing to give this game a try until neople decided to pull desperation tactics like this.
 
Yeah, if they stick with this AH/trade limitation stuff they really should up the drop rates on some materials and (tradable) quest items. Quest requirements pretty much all assume you're playing solo the entire game when it comes to what's needed vs what drop rates are, except even then the drop rates are too low on some things, so with no convenient way to get those kinds of things, yeah, that'll be annoying.

There will still be bots, but maybe with their limited staff they will be able to better cope with them selling gold if the AH is not open 24/7. This clearly isn't a solution, but it may be the best way for them to do something in the short term.

Player shops will also have to go if they expect anything to come from this. Nothing is stopping bots from just doing trades via shops now and for all we know that may be even tougher for them to monitor than AH transactions.

Question about fatigue potion on mileage shop, It says 1/1 daily count, does that mean you can use a potion per day?

Yeah, once per day.

It's on a 24 hour timer though, which is really annoying. So you have to use it later and later each time. I wish it would just reset at the same time as Fatigue resets.


Now that I think about it, we are going to have to stock up on AH Fatigue Pots in advance on the weekends now :/

Only the crafted potions works like that, and they actually fixed it in the most recent kdnf patch(though it doesn't mean it'll get fixed anytime soon here). The mileage FP pots actually don't have a cooldown. Or well 15seconds whatever, but the only limitation is the fact you can only drink one a "day" and they reset when FP resets. It's one of each too btw, they're different, and the alchemy one is also its own, so you can get what is it, 100FP more I think? 50+20 from mileage and I forgot how much the alchemy one, 20 or 30. Which obviously is quite a lot.

On reaching 70, if you keep your xp pots from the last few ghent dungeons going into Mt Hardt at 63, it is possible to do 63-70 in 3 to 4 days. The annoying part is doing what's before that. Might not be enough to make it for this challenge though.

If you're desperate enough, there's also the mentoring trick. You need another computer, create a second account, make a creator(or any class, but creator is easy and fast to level up), use your main to mentor it, then level the new char to 16, wait until you're at lvl 6 in mentoring affinity(this takes 3h30 of being online together). From then on, you can enter the special dungeon Forgotten Forest, leave, enter again, leave, which spends 16FP on your newb. Then you change character to force the update and you'll gain 1FP on your main.

You can do this 10times a day(though a full bar of FP only gives you enough to do it 9times), by doing it once you're at 0FP, you can then re-enter a dungeon and do a full clear. That's 9(or 10) full clears per day, which you can use to do epics too so you can use your full FP bar more efficiently grinding better dungeons. This tends to add like half a level a day, though it's fairly time consuming(not the FP transferring part, that takes like 20seconds, but the actual clearing of the 9 additional dungeons).

If you have the time to and use ALL the tricks, you can easily double your leveling speed if not more. It requires like 4 to 5 hours to actually do everything for a single char though, instead of the 2ish hours it takes to just dump a FP bar.
 
69.5 on Monk. It'll be my first 70.

50 EK. Probably won't touch this one for a while.

53 Asura. It's pretty fun, and clears fast, so I'll continue with it for now.

39 M. Nen. Surpirsed me how powerful it came to be. It's fun, so I'll continue with it. Only problem I have is that it's a bit difficult to get high clear ranks reliably, as it's difficult to juggle.

The feeling of potting a tear but not knowing whether to use it or sell it for 100 mill
 
Well tears are good even at 86 cap. Like, there's better versions of tears, but they're also equally as hard to find and the difference is actually minor(I think 5 points difference between the max one and the current one top roll), and will be priced higher(for the ones you can sell, there's the ones out of the ToDes pots that can't be traded I think and are the best). So I would probably not sell, especially with the AH being fucked with, money might not be particularily useful.

That's literally the only item I wouldn't sell right away.
 
Eh, art might not be that good this time(kinda liked the drug addict necro art), but that 2nd awakening skill though, it's something else. Also the class looks quite a bit better. That said it seems Kunoichi stays the strongest subclass by a lot for Thieves.

I think the necro art would have been better with a stronger focus on the fact she's standing in Vallacre's hand. Like a better sense of scale with the real size Vallacre.
 
Jeez, Witch really picks up at level 30 when you get Lava Potion No. 9 and Acid Rain.

I felt it was nice to get good spells, but until 45-50, I spent more time just hitting stuff with my broom and death dusts+swatter. It's just a lot faster and there's no cooldowns to wait for and no failure rolls. Once you have the awakening, or enough of the big machines stuff to rotate them every screen is when I think the witch changes gameplay into a real caster, but before that I found it more efficient to just play like a flying battlemage.

I just activate Death Dust and press X while in the air only to end with that wheel thing; while pretending to be really good but actually don't know what I'm doing.

M. Nen seems so fun, but everybody keeps saying levelling Nens is painful and I already have a Ranger D=


Yeah, I'd be pretty good with stacking elemental damage on my non m brawler. I just need to offload this and buy the less expensive fire variant and I'll be set!

M Nen is definitely not as painful to level as a Ranger or a F Nen. It's a period of suffering followed by tiger flash spam and particle effect murder
 
Yeah, it was pretty rough in the 20s, and got drastically better in the 30s, for me.

It has issues in the early levels, but once you're past it, I think it's worth it.

Is there a reason you're playing the SB? I don't know enough about the game, so I'm just wondering why you're playing a class that... isn't very powerful? I don't even know what the issue is with them.

I'm mostly joking, SB was my old main, so I know the leveling pain well (it was much worse before, you literally had 2 damage abilities before Saya)

And I like SB, they become one of the strongest classes with chronicle gear with decent dps and very good support abilities, so they sorta fit in everywhere. They just don't have the best leveling curve and Ghent is always a slog, it's why I gave him back the dragon weapon, it's just well known SB is sluggish to level like Rangers.

They are also slated to get a buff from KDnF that lowers their SP costs and makes tombstone not garbage without its chronicle set.

Also Ghost Space Whale.

I hope we get non dumb Zieg with 2nd awakening.
 
What is a good/fun class for slayer. This is my first time using him and I'm about to advance and wanted some advice.

Only one I've played is Asura. It's fun and powerful. Very fast clear speed after a certain point.

Only draw-back I faced was it was a bit hit-and-miss to get high clear ranks, due to the lack of juggling ability early on.
 
What is a good/fun class for slayer. This is my first time using him and I'm about to advance and wanted some advice.

Soulbender is slow to start and relys on stationary ghosts to debuff and zone enemies while so damage. He is a support/dps hybrid class (gains more dps with better gear, since he is mostly percent) Also Ghost Whale.

Asura is LOLEZ leveling with good mobbing and freezing attacks. Plays mostly at medium-long range on the X axis. Pretty survivable with plate armor and ranged attacks.

Weapon master is a classic precent DPS ($$$) that can use all the different slayer weapons (can use lightsabers) and combo their skills together with cancels. Also Swort sword is insane with Draw sword ATM.

Berzerker is my least known. It's all about bleeds and taking damage to stay at low health for frenzy buffs.

Grinding blues gives you cube fragments, which are used for everything and red and white for awakening.

The Tau event drops the rest of the materials for rest of the Awakening quests. Normal Tau drop hardeners and irons, the royal guard Tau drop chaos debris and empress and emperor seals. The boss also drops chaos debris and seals.
