I've played the first game in single player and coop and Riptide single player, had great fun everytime regardless of multi or not The melee system is fantastic, really satisfying to play.
I like Techland a lot as well. With the exception of the shittastic The Cartel I've enjoyed most of their games. They won't win any awards but they're a solid studio who pump out enjoyable games. Kudos to them as well for being one of the few studios for making enjoyable melee first person combat as well, the analog combat control in the Dead Island games are great.
I do wonder how many studios/people they have though, as someone said earlier they pump games out pretty regularly!
Just watched the Giantbomb TNT and Jeff said that he was impressed by the daytime/nighttime stealth and scavenging mechanics in this game when he saw it last week, which is remarkable since he loathes Zombie games.
Have you tried co-op? Imo, it's just like Borderlands. Sure, you could play it solo, but it would be a boring repeatitive idea. Most of my fun in these games has been running around with others. Really loved Dead Island with my friend.
I know what you mean; but at least this might be a great game!
I can't wait for gameplay, this really could be one of the first "proper" next gen games.
Let's hope it's at least representative of the game this time.
Specifically referring to the parkour elements, the first person views in the trailers and the fact that there will be other groups or survivors after the same resources as you.
