E3 - A Den of Sin and Homosexuality (?!)

I did laugh at how like 3 people on stage in a row at Sony's conference were mad Gay. I was cracking up with my friend like another homo wtf lmao

I just thought it was funny, not being offensive or anything. I'm Gay myself

When that "entire demographic" happens to be the extremist idiots who write stuff alarmingly similar to this in all seriousness, I don't think there's a single thing wrong with that. And that's clearly what this is.

So wait. They're all extremists?

but yeah Christwire is a parody site yo

I wonder if anyone has been dumb enough to think they're a legitimate christian news outlet?
I'm not gonna lie. They had me right up until the fire hydrant.

Mocking an entire demographic is not "having fun."

Of course it is. It's where large swathes of comedy comes from, most jokes have a "butt". It's also a way of providing social commentary, while this isn't a great example of that a little piss taking is societies way of telling certain groups that they've gone a little too far from the norm.

Like Nintendo fans (see I brought it back to gaming).

I just went from being on the fence about Wii U to Day 1!

I don't see why your absurd beliefs are worthy of any more deference than any other absurd belief. Silly things get laughed at.

I never said anything in this topic about my beliefs, actually.
I'm merely pointing out that if you feel your need to vent your frustration over religion, there are many fine topics in the OT in which you can do so, without starting a giant pissing match on the Gaming Side.

Heh. I don't think we're the ones that are venting.

And the pissing match began with someguyinahat. Everyone else took the joke as it was intended.

Hmm, we'll see. These topics always end the same. Bannings, arguments, hatred.
It's quite depressing that Atheist GAF and Theist GAF can't seem to get along.

Never discuss politics or religion in polite company.

You're never going to convince someone who by definition does not believe something for logical reasons through logic, so no point trying.

Anyway, I for one would like to see Nintendo follow a more mature market with hentai games starring Peach.

I don't think animlboogy took the joke as it was intended. I think he honestly believes that they're all like that. He seems a little detached from reality.

everyone would get along just fine if they stuck to talking about games...after all that is the common factor

I think that you're misreading his post and that he was saying that the site is parodying extremists specifically. Probably.

You have seen the evidence, now letÂ’s have a look at the facts: As you can tell from the chart above, the instances of unreported rape at last yearÂ’s E:3 was only about 73. But that is only the heterosexual instances. If you look further to the right on the chart you will see that homogay rape beat that by a full 237 occurrences. This was only what went unreported, many other cases were handled by the police.

Cunts fuck, they're beating me.

COLE: Looks like I made a mistake.

(Edited to be more related to gaming.)

Christians are not all humourless, and posts like this just perpetuate the stereotype.

A stereotype that is valid and must be brought up if we are to ever push forward with gay rights. Ridiculing unsubstantiated beliefs is our only weapon against these people. No one is saying all Christians are homophobic. Laughing at Christians in general is easy for some people though if your just talking about what they believe (virgin birth etc.), but it's probably misplaced in response to this satire.

'mocking' is a bit of a big word. Getting angry at 'mocking' religion makes me think of this:

Then, make fun of those radical Muslims. I'm sure they won't mind, lol. Making fun of conservative Christians always seemed to me to be taking the easy way out, when one wants to make fun of religion.

That's bullshit by the way. There are a shit ton of people who used to believe all sorts of things then stopped. It's a nice little platitude that allows you to feel like you can stop caring to correct idiots, but it's not valid.

It's easier. We are raised with the culture of Christianity all around us

But yeah I don't know to be stabbed to death either.

Preposterous!
In order of sexual freakiness:
Rosalina> Peach> Daisy> Malon

Rosalina because shes living in space with no one but fat little stars for companionship. The big, fat, purple one is the only one that wears pants, thus indicating that he has genitals... but their striped pants, so he's very clearly homogay (see? see? I'm relating this to the article!). Rosalina is DESPERATE for some good, rough, dirty sex
Peach would be next on the list. Shes obviously a very buttoned down "good girl". Because of her public image, she has to always behave and do nothing do embarrass the kingdom! Good girls are usually the most sexually repressed, so when you get them in bed they go completely bonkers for anything that gives them the slightest bit of pleasure. Hence why dating cute religious girls is the best.
Then comes Daisy. Same as Peach, but shes clearly portrayed as being more physical and active, thus suggesting that the level of repression in her life is lower than Peach's. Shes probably a very "average" girl in bed, but if you dig a little, you'll find she definitely has some kinks and unexplored fantasies.
Malon lives on a farm. So, yes, social and cultural demographics suggest that she is probably very, very freaky... shes probably acted on those urges in the barn and whatnot. The term "hotdog down a hallway" springs quickest to mind, as a result.

No one ever thinks of the silent victims, like the poor Fire Hydrant. I hope it is able to put the incident behind it and carrying on with a normal life which seems to consist of dogs urinating on it.

I have to admit I probably laughed a lil bit too much at this "article". If E3 was anything like the portrayal in this comedy article the queues to get in would be half way across the state.

Being Christian is an elective decision. It's not an immutable characteristic. You choose to believe silly things. That is your right. It is our right to make fun of you for it.

I guess have the right to mock you. Because I have the right to mock idiots?

Wasn't it on 1up Yours where someone talked about a time at E3 where they watched two girls in a hotel room scissoring each other with a dildo or something?

You took a hell of a lot from a little. The target demographic in question obviously isn't all Christians. If you're reasonable, move the fuck along, because this article isn't satirizing your laid back take on space wizards at all.

Bro. BRO. It's ok. I admitted I made a mistake already. I misread your post.
