E3 Cringe and Awkward Moments 2017

The constant repeating of "exclusive" and "world premiere" at Microsofts conference. And that e-sports announcer, who tried desperately to hype a game, which I have no idea what is called. And the need to present a ridiculously expensive supercar on stage. Why?

The quietness all threw Sony's conference and the ending when they turned on the lights and people seemed confused that the conference was over and slowly started to leave.

Take away the PC gaming show and this video struggles to fill a minute.. guess it's a testament to how mature the show has gotten..

During some of these moments, the respective neogaf live thread would fill up a page like this:

CRINGE

CRINGE

CRINGE

oh god the cringe

etc.

It's really annoying and whatever the meaning of the word is, it's been beaten to the ground.
Pretty much this, people really need to get a grip lol

and the fact that the the whole Miyamoto and Guillemot thing is considered cringe pretty much verifies that.

The only parts of the PC show that stood out were the Intel guy and ending the show on an AoE 1 remaster when it looked like they were about to announce a sequel.

I think overall there wasn't anything that bad this year, just like there wasn't much all that outstanding. Sort of just average in general.

Lmao.

"And in addition they'll get another one million dollars bonus for being the grandslam winner. One millio.....one.... O N E M I L L I O N D O L L A R S".

"Please clap"

Bit tiresome really. Mechanically they're very different, but just because a game is cinematic and has some attention paid to its story, it's a Naughty Dog game.
Seems like a compliment being open-world yet compared to the quality's of ND's games in a wide-linear setting.

The random esports commentator in Xbox panel was something. Not really cringe or awkward, but something out of place. I literally can't remember anything about that game, I was only concentrating on him.

Haha yeah, that was so weird. He just kept shouting at us and I was like, calm down dude, what the hell is going on?

This e3 has nothing on the e3s of past.

Pretty disappointed in this department.

Nintendo 2007, I believe.. Or was it 2010? Just Terrible...

People getting upset over the word "cringe" is getting pretty cringeworthy.

Is it lingo? Yeah. Is it overused? Yeah. But it's a part of the internet lexicon and cringe videos get millions of views. It's a thing.

I don't even know why people say it's "overused". Cringe is a subjective experience, not objective. Often when someone makes a thread or posts about something they find cringy, some people reply like "cringe is so overused", that not what cringe is, etc. You can't tell someone else that they didn't actually have a cringe response to something. Just because one finds something cringy doesn't mean you have to. It doesn't make the usage wrong.

Man the crowd at Sony's conf were amazing, thier expressions made the show for me lol.

Some great games on display, yet they were all like :|

It didn't help that it was a game that no-one cares about. Didn't even get its own topic here; I think people are generally pretty disinterested in competitive shooters unless they offer something particularly special or unique.

Oh wow I just realized it wasn't crowbcat. I only watched a minute but that was lacking in what I'd expect from him. Now I know why.

Also there's plenty of moments he can still get from the streams and stuff after the conference days so I'd hope he wouldn't be posting it yet.

Miyamoto should be banned from cringe threads unless we're talking about Wii Music. But even then we should pardon him.

There was nothing cringey at all this E3. We're in a post Konami 2010 and Kinect world, the ship has sailed. When you're suggesting things like the esports announcer at MS or lame tshirts, you know it's over.
