E3 is next month. What are your expectations?

Xbox:
Gears 5 gameplay and release date.
Halo Infinite gameplay and possibly a release date (I would love for it to be a next gen launch title)
A new AAA IP (something that could rival Gears of War or Halo)
Demo or a presentation of XCloud.
Plans for the Next Gen Xbox.

Playstation:
TLOU 2 gameplay & release date
Ghosts of Tsushima gameplay and release date
New IP's
Plans for the Next Gen Playstation

Third Party:
New Splinter Cell. I've been wanting one for a while now.
Hopefully some new IP's from Ubisoft and EA.

Overall, I just want it to be a fun and interesting E3 for everyone, regardless of what console you are a fan of. I just want to see some kickass games!
 
MS: Good show, but that feeling..... "it could have been more". Small teaser about Anaconda

Sony: Pretty sure they said something about not being part of E3 (both formal participant AND doing their own thing off site). I gurantee Sony will do something during E3 to try subduing MS and Nintendo news. Don't be surprised if they release some big new like a PS5 teaser, or more LoU2 or Ghosts of T footage. That PS EA Access rumour came and went. It could be reality.

Nintnedo: Not sure, since I don't follow what they do. But likely some key info about Mario Maker 2. I see some Splatoon sequel news, and more unique low budget stuff like NES Remix etc...

Microsoft's next console will be a pretty cool announcement (assuming it's there). Maybe another Cyberpunk 2077 trailer.
 
I wanna know about Zelda, Monolith Soft and From Software. Anything else is just a bonus.

Would be great if Mario Kart 9 existed as well, but with 8 Deluxe selling so well I doubt we'll see a new one on Switch.

KH3 is out and since SE took sonys E3 timeslot i guess we can finally expect FF7R trailers/big reveal/release date.
Its more or less what i want and a release date for the Medi Evil Remake would be nice.

A good thing about E3 presentations are the deftly curated breaks.

Games I want the most - Metal Gear Solid 1 remake, and new Suikoden, Chrono, also Valkyrie Profile...

... won't be announced.
 
Very excited for Nintendo and Microsoft's announcements.

-Most excited to see what the next Xbox will be like.
-Can't wait to see what Nintendo surprises us with.
-Halo Infinite gameplay has me excited.
-Final Fantasy 7 remake. Hope they make it a next gen only game.
 
Intense hype about the wonderous possibilities that are about to befall me as the screen goes black...

...only to be followed by crushing boredom when its just another powerpoint slide showing xbox live figures, sales, xblg users and another halo cgi trailer
 
E3 stopped being anything big with announcements, they all start teasing before and after it. So I don't really expect too much regarding games.
But! In my naive gamer mind, I'd love to see new hardware, next Xbox and Switch lite/pro.
Halo news, Bayonetta 3, and FFVII remake would make a great E3 for me.
 
Well, since Sony is out of the equation, MS is the only one to be looked at, therefore:
- a glimpse/specs of XB2,
- Gears 5 and Tactics gameplay,
- Halo 6 trailer/gameplay,
- FM8 teaser,
- teasers/trailers of games from newly acquired studios,
- some 3rd party games like CoD, BF etc,
- maybe a price cut for current Xboxes.
 
I expect sony to have a big push for their Samurai game by suckerpunch. And of course TheLastofUs 2. Teases about the next gen console but no announcement or pictures of it. That will probably be in November during a playstation event.

While microsoft will use E3 to announce first sony will probably wait after E3 and counter microsoft and let them go first.
 
Microsoft announcing their next-gen console(s) and being loud about third-party titles.
They will also announce their continued studio acquisitions.
 
I expect the same I expect every year. New game announcements and in depth looks at games coming out soon.

Hopefully with Sony not being there, they stop this need to have a show stopping CGI trailer for a game not coming out until I'm almost dead, In order to "win E3"

Just show us the games and tell us when they will be out.

I think Sony sitting this one out can be a net positive for gaming, if the companies make smart choices on what to show.

Sony doesn't get to dictate if E3 is good or not, and them taking their ball and going home doesn't stop it from being an exciting time for gamers.

You guys must be watching different E3s then me.

I never leave it with any of those feelings. It's usually overall optimistic.

I just try to call bullshit on the stuff that's obviously bullshit, but I still leave happy and optimistic towards a bunch of games coming out, that I was unaware of previously.

This E3 will be very lacklustre without Sony....I think it will be one of the most sparsely attended E3's.......I mean, what is there to look forward to.......At this show the third party games will be the most impressive, not exclusives...
 
Nintendo-announcing Banjo or Conker in Super Smash. Mother 3 to commemorate Reggie's departure. New Star Fox game.
Microsoft- streaming service for Switch, phones, etc. , buying Sega after Sega reporting a 70 percent yearly loss and Valhalla Studios (Tomonobu Itagaki) because Ninja Gaiden was dope.
Sony-announcing a new Gran Tourismo for ps5, an exclusive Marvel game, Sony buying Kojima Productions and Capcom.

A guy can dream....console wars would heat up...
 
I feel Sony is skipping E3 this year to have their own dedicated PS5 reveal later which will mean they won't have to share headline space with other games/hardware during E3.

I'm pretty disappointed with the gaming industry in general. The only thing I'm looking forward is Cyberpunk 2077 since I'm a desktop gamer and don't mind consoles...

Nintendo Directs are pretty fun, though.

I'm just hoping for a Cyberpunk 2077 release date THIS year. And I hope it's not too watered down since the other trailer.

Also, maybe we'll get to see a few trailers of true next gen games and we can all argue which ones will be watered down aka anything by Ubisoft.

Reading the title it just hit me that holy shit E3 is already here next month, wow does time fly. But without sony a huge chunk of why I love watching it every year is missing. They don't always deliver obviously, but E3 is my favourite time of the year and having less conferences and announcements there makes the overall event that much worse.

I just hope we get to see some big new things, like the Avengers game, new Yoko Taro game, gameplay from Babylons Fall.

Oh and Splinter Cell, with Ironside and more like Chaos Theory in design, then some ubisoft open world shite.
