EA, can we get a Burnout HD compilation? Please sir

I was thinking about how I would love a SSX HD re-release (not the pitfall remake) just last night and I had a thought: I don't think EA has done a HD remake of any kind yet. Am I wrong about this?

Ubi, Sony, Microsoft, Capcom, Konami, Square - they've all done them. Is there a single EA remake?

I don't think they'll do them. You can't put microtransactions into old games unless you strip out content that's already in it. And if it can't have micro's, EA ain't making it.

I'd like a Road Rash HD compilation as well.

And maybe a Mutant League HD Compilation.

Oh and a Strike series HD Compilation!

And an NFS1-5 HD Compilation

...and what about General Chaos in HD?

Man, EA was so damn prolific and amazing during the 90s.

Best arcade racers ever, right? But we haven't had a Criterion developed closed circuit Burnout racer since Revenge on 360, and will we ever get a new non open-world one? Outlook not so good.

takedown is pretty decent

But if they could just create a 'Best Of' downloadable title featuring all the tracks in 1080p with perhaps new lighting or whatnot and online play, I'd buy at least 10 copies

Oh and put it on Ste, ugh, Origin

Burnout Revenge is already in HD on the 360. Still one of my fave games of all-time and as fun as arcade racing could get this gen. But I would be there day one for a collection.

They might as well just skip the first two and give us Burnout 3 HD. Revenge is already available in HD on the 360, and the first game is almost DMC2 quality of poorness.

Me and Alphatwo will jizz in our pants.

I shutter with excitement just thinking about it.

Can we also get dominator in it too? I liked it a lot.

I'd love to play the first two again, but I bet EA wouldn't want to spend the money making the compilation since they've just injected Burnout into Need For Speed now.

Any reason why EA has stopped this series?, i know the developers are now doing NFS games but that doesn't mean someone else could of still been making the games.

Medal of Honor Frontline on PSN. It came with the 2010 reboot as well.

Is this not closed-circuit enough for you?

Just kidding.

Too bad to see there's nothing significant happening with the franchise right now. I always read EA didnt consider the series a juggernaut in sales. I thought it was because of the lack of official cars and that the mainstream therefore wouldnt accept it. I love the games, almost any of them except the DS-abomination. As for Burnout Crash, it was fun but although it carried the name and took the crash-concept, didn't feel like Burnout at all.

btw. Legends was already a "Best Of" Burnout and I was satisfied with that. I'd rather they make a new one instead of a HD-re-release.

Just need Burnout 3, which is the best one. The crash mode alone beats all the other games combined.

Many of the best points have been made already so ill go ahead and agree with EA seems run by greed more than anything these days lookin back on their old library just makes me sad. The SSX's and Burnouts especially, although that might of been Criterions choice to do the Paradise thing. I'd rather have great new entries of these franchises, but no thx if they're like the new SSX. I'd totally buy hd remakes if nothing else, i really like the idea of all the courses in one hd remake.

Def Jam HD collection and NBA Street HD Collection too

or hell Def Jam: FFNY and NBA Street Vol 2 in one HD box

Racing sucks compared to 2 which easily had better tracks and drift. 3 shot out racing for combat and the two couldn't be more clear in criterion's talent for the genre which ea treats like shit now.

I agree Dragonzord on NBA Street Vol2 best arcade basketball game of it's time and even now is easily still one of the best. Having the graphics in hd and some refinments to the controls would make me happy.

Just give me Burnout 3: Takedown HD. Burnout -1million: Revenge can die in a fire.

Just 2 and 3 would be fine, the first Burnout (since like no one played it ever) was a bog standard arcade racer with a gimmick telling you how much damage that crash that ruined your chance of first place cost.

The original was pretty mediocre all around but 2 is still worthwhile. Everything had a toy car quality to it, it's kinda charming, but it also had my favourite implementation of Crash Mode where things were a bit more free form and less rigid in design as 3's was more about hitting the exact powerup layout.

I still play the old ones all the time on 360/360 BC. You can play old games, you know. I think a package like the OP describes would be most excellent, but I'm just sayin'.

Is Dominator worth picking up? Haven't played that one

I was a huge fan of Takedown. Hugely disappointed by Revenge. But when Dominator came out, I fell in love. That was everything I could ask for in a Burnout game. Very intense, very fast, some nice variation, loads of fun with friends. Only meh thing would have been the soundtrack (HEY HEY YOU YOU).

I really never understood the love for Burnout 3 after the awesome Burnout 2. Gone was the risk of danger running up the rear of cars, rail riding was introduced, the tracks didn't have the same variety & exciting feel of illegal racing on public roads, it just felt like Wipeout with cars and your panels were the weapons. It was the first and only game in my life I returned for a refund.

Since you're posting that after my saying on Burnout 3, I'd say that I discovered the series with this episode. I wouldn't know how good were the previous two.
