EA customer support is the BOMB!

The one time I had to contact them for something, I ended up getting exactly what I wanted (an import key for Rock Band 3 to get the RB2 songs), so they're cool with me.

You're even more lucky if the response is even related to what you asked about at all.

Or even in the same language. I've seen screenshots of support requests written in English that are responded with an automated message in Russian.

I'm not American either, but I just love that idiom.

Wow, can you elaborate on this further?

someone from Russia logged into my account changed all the information from mine to his. he didn't know the security questions so he went into EA customer support chat and had them reset it using god knows what excuse and it worked. I contacted EA support to figure out why i lost access and they admitted what had happened.

the funny part is EA cleared all of my support tickets.

sounds like dutta is still at ea making waves in customer support, good for her

But yeah EA have been fantastic with me every time

My experience with Origin support has also been great so far. Unlike my experiences with Sony here in Germany. Steam is also bad and takes forever.

It's a shame they haven't evolved their client into the same platform as steam because I would of dropped steam ages ago.

They did the same thing to me. I send them key from C&C 1st Decade and they activate whole C&C Ultimate Collection on my account. Also, they activated some older games, which keys are invalid in normal activation through Origin client.

So yeah, customer support is the best what EA has to offer.

Maybe they changed a lot. Last time I called them, they ended up calling me a thief and gave me the number of a real estate agent to call for further information...

yeah...

Yeah, I still have a ticket where I asked about a game that went missing from my inventory. A long time later, I get a bot response telling me how to open my inventory. If I didn't know how to open my inventory, I wouldn't even know something was missing!

Sure is great. My Origin account was hacked by some idiot, and when I noticed I sent support a message about it. In a matter of minutes they called me, and 2 minutes later the account was back in my hands again. The guy was extremely helpful all the way through.

That's pretty awesome of her. Grats man, little things like that don't really cost them much but generate goodwill.

It really is, I finally got to play C&C 4, about which I only heard bad stuff so I never felt like spending any money on it, and it isn't so bad, Laura Bailey does the voice of EVA so that automatically makes it a good game in my book :)

They truly are at the level all companies should aspire to.

Funnily enough, I have had excellent experiences with Activision support as well.

Not to piss on your chips, OP, but I bought the entire C&C collection last year for £5 on Origin, so it probably wasn't as big of a deal as it seems. Still a real nice gesture, though.

Both EA and Blizz got great support.

EA solves problems and gives you something special most of the time, be it discount codes or what not.

Lost 2 million coins in FIFA 13 through being hacked. Spent weeks arguing with them as it was a thing with them that things like email and DOB was enough for someone to SE your details off them. Wouldn't compensate me, had to threaten them with legal action (not real) and I eventually got THREE premium gold packs. Fucking THREE. EA CS are generally a disgrace.

That's literally the opposite of a conclusion you should reach with 1 anecdote.

This thread so far seems to tell a different story entirely.

Dislike EA, but their customer support has always been good when I've needed to use it. Like giving me a refund for the Brutal Legend DLCs when I found out that they only worked with the latest patch that also had a save-corruption bug among other issues, as well as immediately putting the Ostagar DLC for Dragon Age Origins in my account due to it being mistakenly left off the Ultimate Edition disc in the UK. Stark comparison to Rockstar, which has one of the most fucking useless support teams in he industry.

I had a good experience with them back when the Battlefield 4 beta was about to come out. I had Bf3 premium on Xbox 360 and qualified for the beta on the console problem was I had built a PC and wanted it on my origin account. I called EA and told the the guy my issue and he said that he couldn't transfer my beta access to PC. So what he said he could to is give me Battlefield 3 premium addition which would give me access to the beta. I was pretty happy with that solution. So yeah sounds like they do stuff like this pretty often nice to see.

I have also great experience with EA support. Back in the day when SWTOR came out I made an account and then I realised I had already EA account with my second e-mail. So I asked support if I can somehow merge both accounts. After they confirmed that I own both accounts they asked which account I want to be my account and they merged the other accounts game to that. All that was done with online support in their website.

I agree their support has always amazed me but I've never made any threads about it cause people would accuse me of either lying or working for EA.

ive dealt with Nintendo, sony, Microsoft, EA and valves customer service.

all were excellent except for sony and valve. sony was slow, painful and failed to come through(hardware issue). valve sort of came through, got my account back but didn't get refunded the lost funds even though they said they would credit my account.
I've had similar experiences. I don't understand at all how EA and MS are disliked so much when they have such terrific customer service.

Sony and Valve are just horrible. I got my issue fixed with Sony however it took three different attempts of calling and well over two hours of being on the phone with support for the time it did work out. Had to work my way all the way up to the president of the call center before my issue was resolved...kind of ridiculous.

Never even had to ask for a supervisor from MS or EA.

Completely agree. A few weeks back, I bought Witcher 3 Expansion Pass from Origin expecting them to give me a key for redeem in GOG. Didn't get it since I don't own the base game in their game client.

Contacted their support and they refunded the money, despite the client saying I needed to own Witcher 3 base game on Origin.

They are certainly superb when it comes to help their customers.

That seems like base level customer support tbh

Origin is quite good imo. And yea their customer support is pretty good as well.

They give out free games pretty often and the service works well.

They've really redeemed themselves in my eyes. Doesn't hurt that I like BF4 and Battlefront as well.

My Origin account got hacked a couple years ago. Weird thing was it wasn't through my email so im not sure how they did it. They changed my security question to something in japanese so I couldn't even read it.

Contacted support and in 5 minutes I had my account back. No issues. Luckily my card on file had expired so the hacker didn't do anything with my account.

Kudos EA Support.

I had a save file issue with Dragon Age: Inquisition. My PS4 factory reset for some reason overnight and I couldn't load my save. I called support EA support and got hung up on 3 times and gave up. Still never finished that game which is a shame because I was really into it.

Yeah, EA support is good but there's a silver lining here - EA's support is the only publisher support I ever had to use in my life meaning that while their support is good their games (or should I say DRM practices) are not.
