If the system gains momentum and sales, EA will come back at that decision and start developing games for it, but that'll take time and then it's probably too late for them to get some attention on it.
Wii U sales.
So what happens if PS4/720 aren't successful? Will EA drop them too?
Wii U outsold Virtual Boy at launch.
What happened between nintendo and origin?
What happened between nintendo and origin?
So which Nintendo fan on this forum is insane enough to spin this into something positive.
Let's find out on the next page.
One way or another (even if it's not for hardcore games and franchises), they'll regret that decision. When they finally decide to develop some stuff for it, it'll arrive too late.

partnership.

It's pretty obvious how this will play out. There's no major install base on Wii U at the moment. Hence why EA won't commit currently. They always play it by numbers. But as soon as there's a 1st party 3D Mario game, a Zelda game, a Mario Kart game, a Smash game etc, the install base grows, and 3rd party responds by following suit and supplying those consumers with additional games. Surely we know this by now?
Dreamcast'd
Nintendo just needs to make their own sports games, I guess.
Oh fuck off EA.
Corporate bullies. Did it to Sega, doing it to Nintendo.
What a mess.
If this is over Origin, MY GOD.
Well, this is what it looks like from the outside anyway. Maybe there is something we're missing. GODDAMN.
Man whatever Nintendo did to piss off EA, pissed them off good.

Even then though... 0 games. At this point in the Wii U's lifespan. 0. 0.
So much worse than the gamecube
instead of conspiracies about the company deliberately making bad decisions out of spite about an unsubstantiated rumour, here's an alternative hypothesis:
no one is buying the console and the few who are aren't buying the games and since it's a console that just launched they don't have a tech stack set up to pump out a low cost port the way they would with something like PSP or other basically dead consoles they support.

Sounds about right. Never have I seen or experienced such partnership before. They are definitely unparalleled.
Stop with the rational speculation.instead of conspiracies about the company deliberately making bad decisions out of spite about an unsubstantiated rumour, here's an alternative hypothesis:

What does "Unprecedented Partnership" mean?
I hear it mentioned a lot but no one has explained it.

Oh wow.
EA does everything for everything. Them and Ubi are the biggest flooders of the market today. For them to not have ANYTHING in development for a platform is saying a lot and none of it good.
man im so curious as to what has happened here. How has no press people pushed this story?
Get ready for Mario Arena Football (or handegg as Europeans like to call it).
