Disney has been very protective of its content. It always has been. Even when its sharing it with other content providers.

It's been like this for years. It's odd, but it makes sense. It's their content at the end of the day, no matter how this partnership conspired. I'm sure EA is paying a lot of money to produce Star Wars games. Gotta play by the bigger fish's rules.

Only in the new "Turning Point" mode, those characters absolutely still appear when playing on Jakku in any of the pre-existing gametypes.
