EA Sports UFC 2 Confirmed, Details Coming Soon

What's the bets that clown mcgregor is on the cover, I hope aldo puts him in his place otherwise mcgregor will do all our heads in

Did Bud Light end it's sponsorship with UFC or something? I noticed the censored the logo around 1:40 in that aldo/mcgregor press conference footage (despite it being pretty much front and center at the end of that trailer.)

Or does UFC not put alcohol references in their games? I don't play Madden so I don't know if there is anything there either.

Boxing is dead in this sense. Don't know how much more it needs to be said.

Boxing ain't dead. We just had the biggest fight in a while a few months ago (whether you liked it or not) in Floyd and Manny, and Premier Boxing Champions is slowly putting GOOD fights and matchups back onto mainstream TV as well as Spike TV. If anything it's creeping back into the limelight.

Stop fuckin' around EA and put out another Fight Night.

This 100% Boxing has had some stellar match ups lately and canelo vs cotto on the 21st should be a great match

The problem with Fight Night is that EA has to license each boxer individually while UFC owns the rights to the fighters under threat of banning the fighter and their associated gym.

I thought I read somewhere that alcohol stuff in games, even ads, automatically makes it a mature game. Look at all the NASCAR games.

Please be 60 fps -n-

Sadly as you've seen, developers push for 1080p as a bullet point selling feature for their games rather than taking frames into consideration. GOD I would love 60fps. But marketing dictates graphics sells game. Its unfortunate. No PC version is ever coming, just like NBA Live and NHL etc. Maybe they fear modding? Or don't have the budget.

:( still waiting on a next gen fight night... this adds another nail to the coffin

They've been on the record as saying they'd love to do another fight night, but right now EA is only budgeting money to make games for the UFC license they acquired. I'd love to see a fight night with GGG on the cover ;) but. Pipe dream for the time being.

"its time, to finish the fight"

EA didn't make 1080p a bullet point with the last UFC game.

I think EA UFC got a lot of wonderful details right when it came to striking after the second patch. I can't wait to see a new submission system and maybe a greater emphasis on smoother online play. The belt system was awesome, and the slower movement made for some hard hitting knockouts. I hope we'll see much more of the female divisions, but seeing Esparza get wrecked and Van Zant should be promising.

So HYPED!

FYI. EA UFC 1 was 900p and 30fps on everything. Game was such a blurry mess as well because of the AA and blur they put on top of that.

I would hope they target 60 this time but I dont expect it.

I cant wait to customize my reebok fight kit! *throws up*

Day 1

seriously. I enjoyed customizing my fighter w/ diff sponsors...now I can look even more cool by picking either a Reebok shirt such as these gems

or one of those flashy fight kits!

fuck you reebok

That was a target. The confirmed resolution for PS4 and XB1 is 1600x900

Yep just did some more digging and found the digital foundry article. Woo boy. Well I guess I can still hope in the meantime for a miraculous 60fps but i'd guess that's not happening.

On a sidenote, If you head over to the EA UFC forums, a gameplay dev has been posting weekly stop motion videos of some of the animations and transitions they are adding to the game it is very impressive. If the ground game is improved, I'll love the game to pieces. The control scheme seems to have been hard for a lot of people to pick up. It was admittedly a bit too convoluted, it took me a good minute to fully grasp everything.

I'd happily buy a good boxing game with fictional fighters. Spend the money on making the game great.

I love grappling. It is by far the deepest, and most technical aspect of MMA to me, but how you translate that into gameplay? You cannot make a combat system that even scratches the surface.

This game looks terrific. EA- Please pay the fighters and their teams! Don't let reebok hog everything.
