RR is probably like the most recognized UFC fighter, the decisions just looks silly now that she lost. And I don't see what's the problem of a female character in AC:S, I mean, even if she was shoehorned in by focus testing due to the current climate, how is that different from anything else in Assassins Creed?!
 
She needs to step up her game. She's been exposed. Her stand up is incredibly weak. Others could take advantage of it. She can't endure long bouts too.

Ronaldinho was awful when he appeared on the covers. Rooney also. Messi is just a safe bet, though Neymar is currently the star.
 
Why wouldn't EA wait the 2 extra days to announce this publicly? They basically had 0 benefit of announcing it 2 days ago.

If they just wait, they get the benefit of (a) riding the hype of a possible Rousey win or (b) thinking twice about the cover after a possible Rousey loss.

Whoa, that never happened. You need to look at it again. The only cheap shot was the blatant shot to Holm well after the end of the first round. That was very classless by Rousey.

Edit: Does anyone have a gif of Holm slipping that one punch beautifully in the first round? The one that left Rousey on her knees from how much she whiffed and how little technique she used. Man was she swinging wildly. So much telegraphing.

Haha, saw that one. Uncanny.She knew what she didn't want to do, but in the end she had no choice, she couldn't close down Holm, or get her down when she did.
 
I kept hearing the commercial on the radio when joe rogan kept saying she is once in a lifetime is was driving me nuts. I'm so glad she got knocked out. The women are still evolving as fighters kind of like when the upcoming just started and every fighter was one dimensional now every fighter is well rounded. It was only a matter of time before she got knocked out.

Yeah, she's pretty amazing in the first game.

I'm so excited about this sequel- I still play the first game daily. I love how they improved striking with patches. They've got to change the submission system, and add many more ground transitions but I've got faith!

If like to say hopefully Also will humble McGregor next month but trouble is I think Also ha let Connor get so far into his Head that he's just gonna throw all strategy out the Window and try to kill Connor and lower his guard in the process.

Aldo if gonna ravage Connors legs with them kicks though. He'll be unlike anyone he's ever faced before so he'll be in foot a nice surprise.

I'm not a UFC fan by any stretch, but I caight a video of the press conference after the match when someone posted it in the thread in OT. Dana seemed rather pleased with the outcome. He reiterated a few times that Holm's win demonstrates she was a good match for Rousey, despite most people disagreeing with him on that and betting against Holm.

He also seemed to recognize the value of a rematch. I could be reading him wrong, but displeasure wasn't something I sensed at all.
 
Is it me, or did anyone else notice that the Rousey cover announcement occurred on a Friday the 13th?

Did anyone pull Dana White to the side and say, "this might be a bad idea"?

Either nobody noticed or Peter Moore placed a huge bet on Holm.

So basically Conor McGregor was going to be the cover star but they decided to make it the winner because they don't want a repeat of the Rousey situation.
