Not a fan of the pricing but I'm a sucker and it's Earthbound. I have three games for my Wii U and they are all SNES titles.
Is 10 dollars seriously so horrible for a great game? Other SNES games are 8 dollars this is 2 dollars more for a game people really want. I don't see the issue.
9.99 is a steal considering what it would cost to buy it even on ebay
Today is a good day.

Never played this and wanna see what all the fuss is about but 10 dollars for a SNES rom is steep. Does the eshop have sales?
I'm picturing Shia Labeouf not approving of the price of a SNES game on eshop.Never played this and wanna see what all the fuss is about but 10 dollars for a SNES rom is steep. Does the eshop have sales?
And the money goes to the people who made the game, not random people trying to make quick cash off peoples nostalgia.
Downloaded.
I wonder if and how many people would buy a WiiU for this (especially in EU).

I remember this coming out, but never looked into it. With all the hoopla I'm curious to try it down the road. Is there an rpg this is similar to? Is combat turn based?
I heard if you play a ROM of this game, the difficulty becomes mega hard, right? Does that happen from the immediate beginning?
Closest thing I can think of is Paper Mario. Simple, streamlined combat and dungeons, irresistably charming and witty.I remember this coming out, but never looked into it. With all the hoopla I'm curious to try it down the road. Is there an rpg this is similar to? Is combat turn based?
Earthbound, outta nowhere.

I found about about this through Facebook yesterday after work, so I dunno, doesn't seem like an "out-of-nowhere" thing to me. The release hit before the marketing, which is fine since people have been hype-marketing via Miiverse for quite some time.
I've played the actual cartridge on an NTSC-U SNES. The scrolling judders slightly there, too.Are you positve its 60hz, the scrolling in it has a weird telecine like judder to it like its skipping frames here and there, doesn't look 60hz to me
Right, started a new game. My crew:
Rich
Arse
Wanka
Batman
XBone
Yessssss
Well, it is time for me to finally play this game. I kinda get some sort of Chrono Trigger vibe from everything, regarding how charming it is. And I loved that in Chrono Trigger.
Yup, Earthbound's scrolling is not perfectly smooth 60FPS no matter what system you play it on.I've played the actual cartridge on an NTSC-U SNES. The scrolling judders slightly there, too.
It's 60Hz. Stop worrying, relax, enjoy.
